  • just like most contractors you leave the work unfinised.......finish the video :) good job so far by the way

  • counter-productive?

  • i was raise in it i cant tell nobody how long i been laying because i started so young me and brothers 4 generations long

  • I can see why he used it, so that he gets an even amount each time, but by god that would take an age to build. I am an apprentice brickie and would be shot for using one of those! lol

  • Can you imagine building a house with that - would take years

  • dumb ass u dont bang a level

  • You dont need that shit to butter a brick its a waste of time to put it on and off.

  • and would you belive its lvl well thats the luck of the irish for ye

  • Ya mon... I needs me a smoken bbq likes dat to cook me up some jerk chicken.

  • thruw a bare-beh-que pairty!

  • Faith, I never hoird such good advoice! Did ya, know, you idjit that there's an Oirishman livin' in yer back yard? Sure, 'tis Paddy O'Furniture!

  • i cringed my toes when he used the level to tap them in place

  • but he didn't crab it to the ground.... If you kick it , it will move

  • He is from Shannon Co Clare, Rep Of Ireland & is now a millionaire from the Bricky & Good luck to him.

  • sound irish with a mix of jamaican accent

  • @KINGxTROLL I tink yer full of Jamaican puddin'!

  • I like what he's doing.I've learned this job in the USA! Nice day!

  • BTW... you have a really nice place there.

  • Is this fire brick? Does it have to be?

  • I loved this video we are going to make one - there are some lunatics here with

insane comments on the net a lot of kids too

thanks brickytools for the informative video

  • your fucking mother

  • Good video, just seems like a commercial rather then a how to.

  • this guy is fuckin shit

  • Slow........... should have used Galvacore!

  • I love it when my brick layer wears a tight pair of jeans. Just love it. Great bulge mate!

  • @marlboroman67213 You sure were, thanks a bunch.

  • I have been laying brick for 20 years and I have never seen a bricky. To me it looks like a waste of money and time.

  • @TheSmith34 if after 20 years you wouldnt think it was a waste of money FOR YOU, then I would think something was wrong with you. This is designed for someone without 20 years experience. I got one, and I have used it a lot, and as I am gaining more and more experience, I find I am using it less. It is clean, and your pointing ends up looking professional without being a professional.

  • @scottiblasto True but I am from the old way of doing things. I believe that if you learn how to lay brick from a good mason then this is a waste of time and money. But if you have not then yes this may be a good tool for you.

  • @TheSmith34 I tried to find a mason that would show me, and couldn't find one. Not many people have the time to take on a second job to work for a mason either. I agree though, if you are looking into becoming a bricklayer as a career, then definately go work for a qualified mason. If you are like me and want to do the odd job here and there with bricks, then be open to products that will help your final result, this rig was very inexpensive.

  • I can't remember what I paid for it, but if it was over $50 I wouldn't have bought it.

  • Just a question, I've never built anything like this before, is that a cement slab you're building on? Is that serving as a foundation? I don't have one, so I assume I need to dig down and make a foundation, if so, how deep? Esp if I want a chimney?

    Thanks

  • search for bricky wall building tool and click the one that says john doing his thing

  • hey good job man!. that is more than most of us lazy ass bums can do in a days work!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Bd8SzPQ89YE

  • where did he leave his horse when he was trying to build this piece of shit stick to the roads mate

  • why nis the cement black!?!?!?

  • @bolton1200 why are you hanging shit on him? honestly does it make you feel better?, i gurantee you this bbq turned out better than anything you have ever made, seriously grow up

  • nothing with more charm than a brick BBQ

  • this guy is shit measure it

  • wow , this guy sucks , but good try

  • the best way to make sure your level is off, is to smack it against things and use it like a hammer. if someone ever does that to your level, take it from them and smack them with it!!!! good vid though and nice tips about checking the grill fits.

  • I had no idea the used built backyard BBQs in Ireland.

  • Where is the you-tube video using Galvacore?

  • what is the black stuff that u use to sick the bricks together at 1:39 ?

  • @TheSkaterboy1997 mortar...the same stuff he uses for the wall. Sand/cement mixture.

  • hi im leaving school this year i like construction and been hands on with stuff would bricklaying be a good job to go into i live in the uk i would like to know if their is alot of jobs in bricklaying in the uk and is it hard to find work not on my own but to work for someone

  • @xiDaNnY95xi Brickwork is whatever you want it to be bud. im going into my level 2 now..

i don't intend of being a bricklayer,i want to learn a fair few trades then just be self employed.

  • im gonna do this when i get my house

  • @koziekingdom1

hi!did you find the part 2 maybe?

See his dog in the back ground it's the supervisor . hey I had an uncle that laid brick he didn't use one of those red plastic things that's cheating. looks like its going to be a great bbq. thanks for the video my friend.

  • he sounds a bit jamaican...though i know he's irish :D

  • @riacharda lol, that's because the first "slaves" to the Carribean were Irish, the Jamaican accent is a mixture of Cork (Ireland) and African :)

  • @orbcon: WOW REALLY??? I'm slacking on my black history....:S... thanks for the knowledge :)

  • @riacharda or slightly trinidadian or barbadian

  • Part 2??

  • Ah you're just stuck in the dark ages buddy!

  • Well you've obviously not used it

  • I love that consistency of mortar.

  • lets be honest tpo a diy er this toll is fucking superb to a competant bricklayer it aint worth a wank but fair play to the bloke he's probably made himself a lot of money

  • what the hell is a "bricky"?? is this some "ass seen on tv " item i missed ?? lol

  • my great grandmother was from cork . katie osullivan,i remember my grandpa tellin us ghost stories in an irish accent

  • YEAH!!! BRICKY!!!

  • areba the linia lol mescala mescala shake up shack up areba the scalfold lmao

  • what mix mortar do you use

  • For normal Brickwork you want a 5 and 1.

5 sand and 1 cement. Don't forget to use a bit of plasterciser also. Not much though, just enough to "fatten up" your muck/mortar. One great tip to remember when knocking up muck is that loads of water and plasterciser will kill the muck. Less water and longer knocking up will really give you great muck. But use water as you see fit, all sands require different amounts. If you wanna know more, send me a message. I hope this helped, mate.

  • that red thingy you use to throw the head joints on the brick is the funniest thing I have ever seen ........... reminds me of my brother pretending to be a mason..... but I give you an A for effort

  • crawl out of your own ass you patronising idiot

  • this is the worse jamaican accent I ever heard!

  • lol!

  • hes irish u terd..omg dum ass

  • he said ireleand dumb ass

  • WHAT??? finished product? that was brilliant im freaking out i need one of those in my life!

  • Exellent Video!

  • The video is awesome! I really liked how you put it all together so that the transition is smooth. Can you teach me how to do that? lol

  • Binks to Enlightenment. Evidence of primitive humour. The human displays knowledge of satire and imitation. With patient tuition, could perhaps master simple tasks.

  • lmao, what a tool

  • over one million customers would agree with you that it is a tool!

  • you can use this grate with your brick....Ciao

  • This reminds me of the episode when Lucy and Ethel tore apart Ricky & Fred's new BBQ because she thought her wedding ring was in the mortar. When they put it back together it was hilareous!

The "mason's mate" product placement was kinda weird.

  • dad had one of these. built it.

  • lol homer simpson tried to make something similar to this

  • hahahah LOL i remember that episode!!

  • @363498 lol I remember that episode

  • is there a second part?

  • Real good teacher but was not long enough.

  • That was really cool

  • Umm..if I wanted to impress my friends, the last thing I'm going to do is waste my time building a damn grill in my backyard!! lol OMG

  • i cant understand a thing you said, so i think i'll just buy one instead. and by the way it's a grill not a bbq

  • You are right about that.

  • Ten minutes and its still not done.

  • "BearbeeQ"

    LOL!

  • Some of you guys dont get it, Yah sure we can go buy a grill From your local Wal-Mart or Home Depot for 200-300 bucks like i did.

But i think if i saw this video a before I started grilling this year i would have bought it, and made my own grill.

The satisfaction of telling my friends that i MADE my own grill would consume them with envy and fill me with pride, some of you guys just dont get it.

    I

  • 外国的水泥 真黑

  • i cant understand a damn thing he says. :-/

  • on da food channel there was a grill made out of a car engine

  • Ended a little early, but I get the idea, Think I will just go buy a $20.00 Weber..

  • If I built a barbecue my friends would probably call me a "fag" and punch me in the stomach.

  • That's why you don't make this.

  • Great Dog in the background. Yellow lab watching his master. The best.

  • cool i would try if my building allowed it

  • Judging by the weather there the mortar should be dry in about 3 months.

  • where is this man from, his accent is interesting

  • He says where in the first 20 seconds.

  • Ireland.
