A skateboard used for travel shouldn't be bound by the shape of a skateboard for half-pipes. Wouldn't you love to cruise 50 miles without pushing? It's like snowboarding, it's about the adrenaline rush of cruising effortlessly. So electric has alot of promise because gas is stinky and loud and heavy. With electronics, a small brushless dc along with lithium/poly batteries will get you farther and faster. I'd like to see a extreme long range cruiser made for speed and handling.

People have been trying to sell a gas powered skateboard since the 1960's.. and they'll just keep trying.. Maybe just maybe one day it will catch on but i doubt it. Just too expensive for what i does.

If the motor can be small/light/efficient enough where the rider can air the board with bindings/straps without too much effort, than there is a definate market out there.

Without being able to do any tricks on it, it's still lots of fun but very limiting because of the weight, so it remains quite novel!

I want a light MBS style mountainboard with a light motor...the POSSIBILITIES!
