My welsh terrier Drudwyn never yapped. He only barked to let me know that somebody was coming., too. Or when he was playing with water.

Everyone is saying their welsh terriers bark a lot. I have had one for 11 years now and he very rarely barks. Only when he is playing or if I'm trying to mow the lawn does he bark (and try to bite it).

Not Airedales, Welsh Terriers. Airedales were bread from crossing the Welsh with the Otterhound.

We had a Welsh Terrier who did not yap. He only barked when it was important.

I think they're Airedales aren't they? Though I guess he has quite a high pitched bark! And he's 'yapping' Chriswillb because it a form of communication. They don't just do it for no reason! This guy, as it says in the descrip is asking his friend to play.
