WOW , watching Patti's videos here still makes my heart skip a beat , just like it did 40+ yrs ago on TV here in So Fla . Sorry , Bongo 46 ..... but you had to be here !!! Me and millions of teenage boys down here would have died and gone to heaven happy if we could have had a date with her.
you had to be there in the mid 60's. She had no claim to fame. Just a kid miming her fave songs on a local TV show. We didn't take ourselves serious. The audience liked the show. What does it matter 40 years later?
There is obviously two Patty Benson's. "MY Boy Lollipop" and "I'll take you there" that nothing but scream. I had to kill the video a minute in to it because I could not stand anymore of her screaming.
3 magic things about the internets, besides that it is a series of "tubes" lol. One is Google, the second is YouTube, and the third is Wikipedia...but I looked her up at Wiki and there is nothing...yet. Im sure it might not be long until Wiki has something about her.
I'm from Belgium ... far away from your hometown but this is such a small world when it comes to listening to music, thanks a lot for sharing this with us all :-)
Wow why so pescimist? Why do you comment if you don't care for this subject?

I dont know this performer? SO is she lip synching her own singing on a record? That would make sense if this is a music video?

sorry, but is her claim to fame about lipsynching famous songs, is that all she does in this video, or does she actually sing herself?

Oh my God! Look at Patty Benson doing "I'll Take you There". She's changed into a black woman in just a few years.

slickbabyyaya,
Yes, I noticed. Did you also notice the balck woman CAN ACTUALLY SING, and oh what a nice voice it is?
shazbat1 3 years ago
Yes, indeed. Patty has matured a lot since her performance two years previously lip synghing to "My Boy Lollipop" on this same program.
