  • Most beautiful liveperformance i've ever heard from Clapton.

Heard it for the first time in 1980 when my sister had the live-album.

It also introduced me to the originator Otis Rush.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • He is best, and this is the best version

  • I was looking for Harry potter Double trouble, and i came here.... Awsome song this to tho...

  • @inusword HP ftw.

  • One of the best.. ever.

  • Great version from the double cd "JUst One Night" recorded at the Budokan square in Tokyo in 1979..I was there..a great concert adding Albert Lee the guitar picking master.

  • GREATTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this, I've always like this version.

  • It's time to de-Claptonize blues music. Unlike what most of you think, this isn't a good version of the song. This is just one more over-indulgent attempt to fill up time. It isn't even decent homage to the master who wrote and first performed Double Trouble: Otis Rush. You should definitely listen to him first and even the version he did with Clapton before taking this swill seriously.

  • além de qualquer data muito bommmmmmmmmmmm pra muito otimo.........................

  • chuck norris's guitar alter ego

  • anyone who feels likes this tune, cheers from Hellas

  • Awesome blues tune. Thanks for posting.

  • This recording is without a doubt , found on Just One Night ,

  • Awesome Blues.

  • The best version is from John Mayall with Peter Green on guitar. You must listen to this version on vinyl, not on cd. The original is from Otis Rush.

  • Surely nothing can be better than this version???

  • good sound!!

  • looks like Since I've been loving you by Led Zep (bass, drums, guitar, even voice sometimes).

  • He's a true guitar legend!

  • AWESOME.

  • Blazing sweet sound. The very best!

  • This is from the "Just One Night" album recorded at the Budokan, Tokyo in 1979. Second guitar Albert Lee, keys Chris Stainton. One of my all time favourite things EC has ever done, gorgeous tone. Thanks for posting this.

  • Eric does all the soloing in this one though right?

  • Comment removed

  • yup

  • This version is SO similar to ones at the MSG reunion of Clapton and Steve Winwood in Feb 08 - I was at the Feb 28th show, and it sounds so much like that night. There is also a Hammond organ sound behind EC which is what Winwood played during Clapton's solo. It is either from that night, or one of the others that week - BUT the ending IS a bit different (I'm typing as I listen) so it could be from the first "reunion" of EC and SW at Crossroad 07 - which I had tickets to but couldn't go! Jim S

  • Great! Never seen EC dressed as Batman.

Where is this Double Trouble version taken from?

  • This version is on an Eric Clapton album called Crossroads. Its a 4 disc set of all kinds of good stuff. This track is on disc 4.

  • bet he wishes he could have that one back

  • Yes, I have that song on the album called "The Very Best- Blues and Ballads" :)

  • @Gordana007 I've got it on the double live album called Just one night (released 1980). This Double trouble version is simply fabulous from the very start. Nothing like it:-)

  • You can also find it on Crossroads - CD 4 track 9. This a great version of the song. Check out Rambling on MInd from the albun A Blues Evening. Clapton is Clapton, and he is on his own league.

  • It's actually originally on his live album 'Just One Night'

  • It's on his CD 'Just One Night'

  • I think this recording was originally released in 1980 on the double live album: Just one night. It is simply fabulous and astonishing (etc) from the very start. Nothing like it:-)
