  • does it have many plastic parts ?

  • @blackiedrakie

It's mostly plastic with a little die cast in the important areas.

  • Thanks for this review video @pinoi78 ! It's very helpful indeed. The renewal version looks way better than its previous version because of its new bigger tail flaps on the legs and the new long landing gear..

By the way, I've noticed that you've mentioned "major major" then I noticed that your username is pinoi78. I assume you're a Pinoy just like me, mabuhay =)

  • Nice job man! You have favorites..vf-25, 27 and the durandel. You got money 4shur. My yf-19 is on its way.

  • are you getting the VF25s?

  • @kairus1

Yes. I have it on order from Hobbylink Japan.

  • My durandal is having hard time to stand in batroid mode...the hip joint is too loose.., is this one also having hard time to stand in batroid mode?

  • @moncikoma

It stands just fine. But sometimes the left leg is floppy.

A dab of nail polish to the thigh or shoulder ball joint should remedy the situation. Just be careful when removing the screws.

  • is it possible for a video on the articulation in robot form. i think i might get one. it looks amazing.

  • wow great robotech,, does it have waiste rotation in robot form?

  • @kairus1

There is slight waist rotation...only a few degress left to right...

...and LOL this is Macross....Robotech hasn't come up with something this cool in years.

  • where did you buy this?

  • @meinard51089

Ordered from AmiAmi for 10,150 yen.

  • deculture!

  • Oh. And more question. How does it tall in battroid mode?

    Thank you.^_^

  • @kejkamtorn

With the head lasers pointed up and correctly transformed...about 10.5 inches.

  • Is it bigger or higher than original?

How about joint between wing and body? Is it fragile?

  • @kejkamtorn

In Fighter it's the same size. In Battroid it's taller.

I'm not beating around the bush here...the Renewal VF-25 is BETTER than the original in every way possible.

The joint between the wing and body is larger and looks sturdy enough to accommodate Super or Armored Packs. Plus there's the Gerwalk stabilization bar to help with all the weight.

  • @pinoi78 Wow. High detail answer !!!

    Thank you very much. ^_^

  • less than a week for mine! C'mon Canada Post!

  • Awesome review. I can't wait for mine to arrive. This has been a great end of the year for us Macross Fans. Deculture!!!

  • Thanks for the tip! I finally got it done. Man, this thing looks even better in battroid mode mode than I imagined. Excellent job by Bandai.

  • I just got myself one of these and it's great. However, I haven't been able to transform it yet completely because I'm unable to pull the legs down in order to pull out the arms. The hip attachment is so tight that I'm afraid to force it because I might break it. I tried looking at the manual and it mentions a hinge that holds it together, but I can't figure it out. Any help you can give me? You skipped that portion at 8:00 in your video.

  • @archienov

Hold the chest area steady, then pull downward at the intake.

Each leg is attached via a clip system...you shouldn't need much force to get them loose.

  • Came out 8 days ago and everyone is sold out! Crazy!

  • Am I right in assuming that the old fast packs and armor packs are not compatible with this version?

  • @archienov I had heard unconfirmed reports that the version 1.0 super, armor and tornado parts would work with the version 2.0 valks. Should have my new vf-25f in about a week so I can test it out. I'm still skeptical since these are new sculps and Bandai likes to release overpriced Tamashii web exclusive any chance they get.

  • @jaymi77 Hi, can you confirm if this new Renewal Version can mount the old super/ tornado and armored parts that the old ones have? Thanks man.

  • @jeslaya

Bandai has already confirmed that they will be releasing a NEW Super and Armored Packs for the DX VF-25F and VF-25S. Please keep in mind the sculpt on the Renewal is all new, the attachment points for most of the FAST Packs will have changed or been modified. You can try them on...but it'd be like wearing oversized clothing....ODD.

  • @pinoi78 Gah! Bandai wants to empty my wallet :( so much for collecting all the version 1 valks.

  • @jaymi77

Please lemme know how that turns out. I got rid of all my v1.0's when the Renewal's were announced. Good thing I got back most of my money. -_-

  • @pinoi78 Tamashii insists on their site that the original super, armor & tornado parts will fit the renewal vf-25. I just tried with armor parts, and it was mixed success. Some parts fit fine, others kind of fit and some just didn't work at all. Completely not worth the frustration. I'd say wait for the renewal parts Bandai has promised.

  • It's a beauty!

  • So nice that you can get a gerwalk mode easily with Bandai's DX Valkyries. Unlike Yamato's yf-21, Sv-51...

  • thanx bro.....looks kick arse!!!!!!!!!!!
