  • This man killed it. Great Job!

  • Hey Ian, PLEASE Send Me The Files For This Mix... I Would 8e Extremely Grateful

  • I've had my Mixtrack pro for over a year now and still love it, all my mixes on my channel were done on it. The only problem I had was with the software that was included (Virtual DJ) had some horrible sound glitches so I ended up with Traktor Pro which was pricey but sound quality is what I need for my gigs...

  • what dj program were u using and was it free

  • hey my friend can i use this mixtrack to make mixes with video or onli music the headphones where are you plugging it i have virtual dj can works with it please replay me back, great mixes.

  • Can you please explain how you made "Mixtrack" compatible with Virtual DJ? Because I hate Traktor LE

  • Would you recommend those panasonic headphones? Do they provide excellent sound quality?

  • @natedogfresh yes, as u may know Panasonic are the makers of Technics DJ headphones, so the quality are very impressive.

  • Do you have a problem because the mixtrack not have sound card?

  • @Arturocc7 not at all, as long as you have a proper sound interface that supports the software that you currently use.

  • @Arturocc7 if your playing to a club or something u have to have 1!u can get that controller with a soundcard for an extra 40 bucks and definately worth it...so if he wants top play to a club he should have got it

  • @DjTak3On3 Ok! Tranks! :D

  • does the console have a jack to plug in the headphones??

  • Nice vid. i gota question however. I see you have headphones but there is no headphone jack on the controller. where did you plug in the headphones and do they have the same function as they would on the mixtrack pro? Please message back.

  • @bryflip7 i would recommend you mixtrack pro as now it supports a new sofware called Serato DJ Intro.

  • I'm starting as a DJ...do you recommend buying a mixtrack??

  • NICE! Afrojack!! btw hard to plug it into the soundcard? I got a Tapco Link usb

  • @passsacaglia using tapco link USB wont be a problem since your pc can detect the hardware...it should be plug and play.....

  • if i got a BAD SOUNDCARD in my computer, is it better to buy PRO ?

  • @basicgrounds better get a PRO if u want less time for setups

  • Comment removed

  • @WolfTeamFlith You could have used that 10 minutes and 35 seconds of your life learning proper English before you decided to write a smartass comment.

  • at 5:10 you turned up sound that wasnt playin??? what was that??

  • @djbrushie listen carefully to the sound, everytime i bring up the fader it makes a sound effect from my loops

  • woow you are awesome man!! this console have good qality of sound?

  • @Alexandros9563 Mixtrack does bot have a built-in sound interface, but mixtrack pro does. This one depends on your sound card. u can get Numark's DJ audio interface or Native Instrument's Audio 4 DJ

  • @ianComstar hey i bought the numark and everything i wanted to noe wat other parts hsould i buy with it im talkin like sound effect and stuff i got the headphones to work i just think its very limited...

  • какая все же клевая у него постель....со львами :)

  • Dude!! awesome performance and nice video, ill get a Numark Mixtrack in a few days, but, what its the difference between this and the Mixtrack Pro Numark? in my country the pro, costs 2 times the price than you have

  • @ianmassacre mixtrack pro has a built in sound interface, which means, u dont need an extra soundcard to plug in your headphones....

  • can you use a cd plaer

  • I can see your GUNDAMS hahahahahaha~~~~~

    anyway, Sounds great man!!!!!

  • how can install the virtual dj to the numark mixtrack?

  • how much does it cost for the turntables?

    where do you buy it?

  • @zulkarnainkarim u can get one from amazon for like 99 bux free shipping too

  • You get any lag? I'm getting the slightest bit of lag that throws off my cues and drops :/

  • have you remapped your buttons m8 and if so how do you go about doing it any help would be great as i'm a total noob with dj controllers just got one everything works fine butt i see people change the kills for hot cue's

  • @poola169 i did just a few remapping, so, kill buttons are the hot cues...and a sligth adjustment on the loop button.

  • why the f is he playing with the volume on the right O_o ???

  • @HExtab12 that's the cutting method...i recreate a new tone using loops and cutting through the volume.

  • need card of sound for the headphones? with the mixtrack

  • @NICKYMIXDJ yes u need another external soundcard for the headphones. The mixtrack pro which is what I have does not require one because it has 2 internally built in unlike the mixtrack.

  • @gazilla25

    LOL

I GO TO BUY THE MIXTRACK PRO XD JAJAJA IS THE BEST BECAUSE not need external soundcard for the headphones. xD

  • mixtrack is a midi based dj tools...so any laptop that has USB ports can be used as midi activated through the software. What matters is does your laptop can handle the software. A dual core processor and minimum of 2gb of ram is adequate enough to use this DJ tools

  • how do you know if your laptop is compatable with this kit plese let me know

  • @TSMATTYC17 mixtrack is a midi based dj tools...so any laptop that has USB ports can be used as midi activated through the software. What matters is does your laptop can handle the software. A dual core processor and minimum of 2gb of ram is adequate enough to use this DJ tools

  • Can you use CDs or do you need a laptop?

  • @TheWetFeathers Numark Mixtrack is a Midi Controller, you will need a laptop to use it...

  • hey do you need a new sound card to use it with your pc or laptop?

  • @kaiserds you need an external sound interface to go with your laptop, you won't be needing a new sound card for pc if your built in sound card have a multiple audio connection.

  • Gundam box! Win!

  • Wikid mix bro

  • Thanx 4 the video! I'll buy mixtrack pro. Forget about typhoon!!

  • 04:57 my fave pt you go boss :D

  • 00:46 My fave .... you bo boss

  • So does this require to use software in order to use this dj contoller? or is it as simple as plugging it into the amp and start popping in the cd's?

  • @johnydee187 this is midi based Dj controller, so you will need a software to use it. Mixtrack comes with NI's Traktor LE for basic mix n stuff. while the Mixtrack Pro comes with Virtual DJ LE.

  • fantastic!

  • is that about 30 topgear magazines under your laptop? :D

  • @TheSimsterC YES it is....a few missed issue though

  • wow

  • do you use external sound card??

  • @zinonas83 yes...just a simple one...creative's soundblaster play

  • @ianComstar tnx a lot ! BTW fantastic mix!

  • @zinonas83 ur welcome, look out for my new mix soon

  • @ianComstar where did u get the external sound card

  • @djonmars1993 any IT shops or Music Shops, ask for a external sound interface. im using the ordinary creative for laptop, but u can get a better one such as the Numark's DJiO, or Native instruments' Audio2DJ

  • sound likes a fucking overplayed hungarian club music(some of you play)

  • Hey man. How do you like the Mixtrack? I'm thinking of buying one

  • im getting the pro version..!!

  • i getting the same system and I'm just curious how your headphones are set up because the mixtrack doesn't have a headphone input.

  • @Jevonsmall there are lots of ways to set up your headphones. I'm using a USB Sound card to and set it up in the virtual DJ. there's and option where you can setup two sound cards in VDJ options.

  • What are those tracks?

  • @roshanbhoj look at the older post

  • are you able to sync the songs and match up the bpms right there on the vdj software?

  • @91dillont yes, but i usually do the beatmatching manually...

  • @aswadlectro i had this since i used numark Total control, i bought the software...

  • @aswadlectro yess~

  • one of the best showcases of the mixtrack pro, props my dude

  • Why so sync button though?

  • Shit is really tight.....much props man

  • i have numark mixtrack with virtual dj but have no idea where to put my headphones in. where do u put ur headphones? i have the usb interface that connects my speakers... do u just plug ur headphones in the mac port and configure it from virtual dj??

  • This is my awesome trick

I assigned a "Jog Wheel Mode" (JW- M) button in Config/Mappers/Mixtrack then I played a song, tapped JWM twice to enter JW- Loop out M and reduced the Loop to a stutter then tapped JWM once to enter JW- Loop move M and moved the Loop, I then added Flange Effect and adjusted Wet & Dry and exited Loop out and Flange Effect at the same time.

I felt ashamed when I did this trick and laughed at how pathetic I must have looked performing this simple DJing trick. I'ma LOSER

  • Nice mix. Like the song...always liked Afrojack. I'm actually buying this controller soon, any tips or techniques?? Thanks! Check out my music if you get the chance :)

  • The only reason I'd expanded to the Numark Mixtrack is so I can do Jog Wheel loop in/out/move and VJ 4-6 decks on Virtual DJ and be a Visual Jockey that also does Video scratching. I'd never use the Numark Mixtrack for straight DJ mixing though, I'll stick to turn tables for that otherwise I'd just get laughed at by everyone.

I think that the Numark Mixtrack is only useful for Video Scratch otherwise you'd just get laughed at and the crap dissed out of you becaus free USB DJs can do that too.

  • I'll have to get one of these, just so I can compete with Mixtrack DJs, they'd raised the bar so high for everyone else, its just not fair. Then all of Darwin's high school kids have the ability to buy a Numark Mixtrack with their $1000. Rudd education bonuses in mid march of 2011. This alone will flood the streets of Darwin with Mixtrack VJs that do everything better than Darwins regular DJs. I just can't copete anymore, I'm now a Mixtrack VJ.

Damn you bastard Rudd government $1000. bonuses!

  • how did you get your controller butons to light up? cause i have numark mixtrack and virtual dj 6.*something and i had to configure everything so that it could work on virtual dj but when i press on stuff it doesn't light up like yours.? Anways loved the mix!! also wat soundcard are you using? mine crackles when i crossfade or beatmatch :(

  • @darkalumina

Hello. Numark Mistrack can only work with VDJ 7 ;) And 7+ versions.

I think that I helped ya ;) greetings

  • @DJWHOBERT Ah yeah that helped thanks

  • Nice Care Bear sheets boss.

  • Jog Wheel Loop in/out/move just like on a CDJ: map value="LOOPIN" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_in +2 : loop_in & jogwheel" / map value="LOOPOUT" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_out +2 : loop_out" / map value="RELOOP" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_move +2 : reloop" / DJ Choca (Darwin, NT)

  • yes, im using an external sound card, if u like to use traktor, download the ASIO driver to get your external sound card working.

  • hey man how did you get the headphone cue to work? did you get an external usb soundcard? see i know that would work on virtual dj 7 with the 2 soundcard option but i would like to use traktor.. =/

  • Modify your Mixtrack XML for Jog Wheel Loop in/out/move just like on a CDJ:

    map value="LOOPIN" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_in +2 : loop_in & jogwheel" /

    map value="LOOPOUT" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_out +2 : loop_out" /

    map value="RELOOP" action="var &pos;shift&pos; ? wheel_mode loop_move +2 : reloop" /

    DJ Choca (Darwin, NT)

  • want one of these so bad

  • Try customise your Mixtrack & Virtual DJ to be exactly like two CDJ's:

    1. Go to first beat- auto cue on a CDJ.

    2. Jog Wheel Loop in/out/move- hold Loop button turn Jog Wheel on a CDJ.

    3. Cue Block Select- Select Cue Blocks and have access to 42 Cues on a CDJ.

    4. Reverse Button.

I also like to map a Transitions Button for VJing seperate to the mixer so I can VJ Transition Video's before or after I mix the audio. Also use Time Slip for Reverse & Scratching

    DJ Choca (Darwin, NT)

  • i too like my speakers pointed at my crouch

  • make another mix man, its good(:

  • hey man can you tell me the track list of the video?

    thanks

  • bed sheet = FAIL !

  • @djmrnelson who cares...haha....

  • @djmrnelson LOL its not fail! that bed sheet is very cool! :)

  • @djmrnelson missing the point of the video fail

  • @djmrnelson You're supposed to be focusing on the gadgit, not his bed.

  • @djmrnelson hey man whatever works, as long as you have bedsheets lol

  • @djmrnelson why the hell you checking out peoples bed sheets why does it matter

  • ay i heard that this Numark Mixtrack couldnt work with virtual dj or is it cause you have VDJ7!? cause i know Numark Mixtrack Pro works VDJ! get back to me on that.

  • @Itwasatragedy hey there, it workk with the newest version of virtual DJ which is ver.7, all new version of VDJ have an updated list of controllers u can use, except the virtual DJ 7 Home edition.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you tell me how to map virtual DJ with Numark Mixtrack? Coz I've also got numark mixtrack and I don't know how to map it with Virtual Dj :<

  • Nice stuff man!

Just a little more practise and you could try out playin at a club ;)

  • @RaulGigantes thanks, i've been playing in a club since 2008... :D

  • @ianComstar Oh haha sorry man! You didn't look that old soo.... haha. :x

Im plannin on buyin that DJ Controller too btw. Do you play with that at clubs? Or do you use CDJ's at the clubs?

  • @RaulGigantes haha...i get that a lot...

i use my own dj controller because i can reach to my song library faster than using a cdj, also i can search for song easier.

  • what interface do you use

  • @KiDCash916 virtual DJ 7

  • Nice mix dude!!

  • does it work with windows 7?

  • @HamazaAzam of course it does

  • does it work with a dell inspiron 600m? please!!!! i'm so bad with computers!!!

  • @DjTEX100 yes it does...it works with any PCs and Mac

  • nice nice

  • are you using any soundcard??

  • @xjuanxandresx yes...i juz use a simple USB sound card which is the Creative SB Play!

  • How do you record your mix?

  • @djdvine33 there's a record function in virtual DJ

  • how are you connecting to the speakers ! are you using a deck or sumthing !

  • @Lilrobo13 i just connect the speaker through a 3.5mm jack on my laptop. i use a 2.1 multimedia speaker.

  • Please give us a tracklis...:)

  • @Splurgeyourheadoff sure, no problem~

  • @Splurgeyourheadoff

yes...i did some changes to my loop buttons in the midi mapper to loop smaller which enables me to do 1/64 loops or more~

  • I got the Numark Mixtrack and I got Traktor with it which I dont like. How do you like Virtual DJ is it good???

  • @lensure i think it's up to the user's personal preferences. i find that VDJ's search engine and EQs are way better than Traktor. Adding and deleting cues are much simple.

Traktor's effects control are way better than VDJ's and multiple cues setup are much better here, i juz had a little problem in adding & deleting a new one while doing live mixes.

  • What speakers are you using with your mixtrack ?? just ordered the mixtrack pro

  • @TheDeankyle depends on where I plugged my laptop. you can either plug directly to your Multimedia speaker or a mixer for more powerful sound.
