Doxology hymn one of my favorite songs. We always sing this song in our worship service. Thank you for posting this song, I played it every now and then when I open my you tube account
I've never heard this song before, but I've read in the Left Behind: Kids series and obviously the Holy Bible (NIV translation) Good song! It does sound like DCB though
Hey, thanks for that verse, was uncertain about tattoos, heard differant things about it, but now that you shed some light on the subject I know now. Think I might put the hymm on a nice cloth or something. Thanks again
Actually that commandment is under the Old Covenant. The new Blood Covenant that Christ gave us through His sacrifice releases all of the old Jewish customs. Follow all of His commandments, but the old ones are nwo done away with.
@Julio2301 I don't believe that God changes but I do believe that He has given different covenants at different points in time (i.e. Davidic, Mosaic covenants etc.). We no longer need a Priest for intercession because Christ Himself is the High Priest that intercedes to the Father. My beliefs are completely Trinitarian.
@RabMaksim He knew that they would have to continue to spread the faith throughout the ends of the earth (i.e. Matt 28:18-20.) However, as we can find in the book of Hebrews we see that Christ had both the role of ultimate Sacrifice and Great High Priest. Did that answer it?
@casherago Christ if the ultimate head of the church and there is no visible head on earth to act in his name. Christ is also the ultimate sacrifice, that we can join by participating in the Eucharist, which was performed by the Apostles, and those that they appointed. Christ speaks of the historic church, which he formed. Christianity is a ritualistic and not purely intellectual religion. You can communicate to and grow in the likeness of God without priests.
The verse right before that one say not to cut your hair or beard. So it is best not to use obscure OT passages to justify a doctrinal belief. Do you also adhere to all the dietary laws given? If you research Solomons temple you would find out the amazing use of art and gold for decorations to glorify God. If our bodies are a temple and the marking we make are in honor not of a dead man, but of the risen Lord-then is that not Worship?

@911FireStud Every Christian should sing this on the Christian Sabbath. As a Presbyterian, I agree.

Are you the one singing? Is there a way to get sheet music?

This is David Crowder singing. This arrangement is fairly common in many youth conferences and contemporary services. Hope that helps.

Hi franner2002, please heed the Lord's words regarding tattoos:
"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD" (Leviticus 19:28 KJV).

You are most welcome, franner2002. Yes, a nice cloth would be a fine way to honour the Lord.
May the Lord God bless and keep you, in Jesus' Name.
