I worked at this hospital for 8 years and this guy is pretty much on it . Yea, an admistator is on call all the time, but u have to get the nurse to call them and u have to beg them for that. That is y they have the phone #'s in the rooms now. They sent a young man home with high b/p, and he died that night with a heart attack. Do u know how I know??? He was my best friend. So yea, this guy is on it. Like it or not he is right.
I realize this is dated video, but I know that had this situation been brought to someone's attention, a charge nurse, head nurse, manager, administration, this could have been prevented. I understand it was early morning hours, but an administrator is always on call. I agree, more should have been done for her but her family & friends could have stopped any one of the staff to ask for help. When you point a finger, there are 3 more pointing back at you. This happens to be a great hospital.
They knew she was in the room and didn't care. She kept being told someone would be in there shortly but nobody would come. I find it unsettling how people refrain from blaming the hospital and think we are to blame for them not doing their job.
Horrible. Try seven hours. That is how long one hospital in Brooklyn NY let a person sit in a dirty diaper. And they only came in to clean him because the family called the Administrator and she insisted that someone come and change the person.
Hey man my grandmom was in the same damn place. Yeah same shit happened. She had cancer and it gave ehr a virus for fucks sake she shit herself and they didn't do shit. We had to. We could have been contaminated.
Roughly around the same time you made your last comment, she passed away in the same line of hospitals (Baptist East, I think it was.). We think it was due to some of the stuff she was being given, but we're not sure yet.
If this incident was so aggravating to you, why didn't you help the old lady clean up yourself, instead of sitting and making videos for YouTube? You need to understand how things work in hospitals, at any given time, there are tons of people who are really sick and requiring urgent attention, hence things with lower priority such as cleaning patients up get triaged to be taken care of later.
Well, let's see. For one, I didn't have anything to clean her up with. Two, it seems you are trying to make excuses for the hospital. When the nurse came into the room, she made it VERY clear that someone could have gotten around to her much sooner than they did. Some things there are no excuses for, so before you criticize me for making a video (which was done after all was said and done), realize that the hospital WAS at fault (the nurse even said so).
Yes that hospital was at fault. People should realize that. Every time I see comments that criticize people for revealing hospital and nursing home abuse, I have this feeling that those critics are hospital personnel and nursing home personnel. Looks like it ; does it not? G00d work . keep on making your videos.
I agree. It seems like nobody can take criticism of their line of work these days. We also believe that same line of hospitals was later (within the last month) responsible for her death by giving her heparin. It's being looked into.

That's beyond pathetic. I would have gotten it in tape and reported it to the locals news.
