The problem is....Your suppose to send the output ( rca out ) to the LINE input on your mixer, then master out from your mixer to the speakers your using. you probabbly plugged the rcas in phono isntead of line
If you're still having problems, check my video on my page. I had some of those problems at first, but I bought some fresh RCAs and did a little tightening up of things. No probz now.
No prob. Maybe it's the Connectiv RCAs lol. I love the Torq but I believe they still have some bugs. Last night, I used the Connectiv box itself to monitor (instead of mixer) so I played with the knobs, and next thing you know, the error index jumps to like 3.56! So, who knows.
If your looking into buying either Serato or Torq i'd say get Torq as its easily half the price of Serato, has more features and is as stable as any DVS.
I'd also look into Traktor aswell.
Pretty much the best 3 DVS's you can get on the market atm imho in no particular order have to be Torq, Traktor Scratch & Serato Scratch live.
Check out the respective Forums for each product and make your mind up through what users have expeirence. Its hard to say which one is better, the 2 things that swung me for Torq over Serato was the features and the price.
i 've been using torq conectiv for about 8 months with no problems at all, i've never used serato but torq is perfect, no problems and the price is better...
I've been using it for 2-3 weeks, its crashed 3 or 4 times, at least when it crashes, it still continues to play the tune so you can mix in a vinyl, but its definatley not as stable as serato. My flatmate had serato, been using it for 3 years and its never crashed once! ...I also find Torq runs a lot slower than serato especially when loading new songs.
Alright dude, this vid was taken about a year ago and it was a problem with the Actual unit.
M-audio couldn't work out what was wrong with it so they sent me a new one. I've had No problems at all with Torq since then. Since 1.0.7 has come out its been stable as hell and you can't make it die even if you really try. Check it out as its now a lot better product.
dude i can solve that problem instantly. i had the same problem. go to radio shack and buy 2 ground loop isolators for each deck. and keep the controls on torq all the way on usb. and make sure your mapped ouot correctly. check out the video by phibercell on youtube. he walks you through the whole mapping in the system. but the loop isolators will kill all noise. there about 15 dollars a piece. they go from your connectiv to your mixer.
Cheers for the advice dude, however the Connectiv was actually Faulty and the guys at M-Audio couldn't figure it out either ! I got a replacement Connectiv about 2 months after i posted this video. Cheers
Behringer is cheap and shitty, just like the guys who thought they knew something and suggested he ground the unit in a way where the defected part would not be a factor. I'm not dissing guys mixer in any way, just the guy defending Behringer. My bet is that he works for them...
He was pretty clear when he wrote "for a studio setup doing recording" that he was referring to a console recording mixer. The fact that he describe it as awesome left out any possibility of it being a Behringer DJ mixer since they are absolute shit, PERIOD.
If you read the info ---> you'll see that it's been sorted. The Connectiv was Faulty and was replaced. M-audio's tech team couldn't understand what was wrong with it but they replaced it and i went without it for 7 weeks !
yea dude, i had the same sort of problem. they take freakin forever over at m-audio support. love the software, but it doesn't seem like the hardware's all that reliable. o well, at least they sent me a new one for free :)
Please read the section to the right before commenting. Its all explained there. The problem was with the Connectiv unit, it was Faulty.
The ground wires were in the back of the mixer at this point but they were used on the Connectiv aswell. Cheers for the comment but please read the vid description. Will
Seems like your suffering from RTFM Im sure you found the big ground knob on the back of the unit after posting this video. I don't see your ground wires running to the connective interface. They need to be there that is how the unit allows you to play vinyl and your computer files on one output at the roll of a knob and keeping the audio level from popping too high. It almost acts like 3 turntables.
You need to ground the two turntables in the back of the conectiv. There's a ground screw in the back for that. You can also run another ground wire straight to your DJ equipment ground point. Make sure all your DJ equipment is on the same ground path otherwise it will cause a bad ground loop.
Do i need to have an M-aUDIO CONECTIV in order for torq to work or can i use a diffrent non m-audio interface?

I had replaced the RCA's on the TT's about 4 months before this problem.
The ones for the Conectiv were 2 months old.
Cheers for comment tho

like my other comment post.
torq is like a ford escort
serato is like a mercedez
both cars but one performs better and pricer.
oceansfront 3 years ago
If Torq is a Ford Escort its a Cossie Escort and it'd kick the crap out of your Big Old Boring Merc !

I have a Mac so PC sucks. I have a PSP so the DS sucks. I use Serato so Torq sucks. I drive an import so demostics suck. Really now.
Glad you got your unit fixed! =] Love the white control vinyl by the way!

Glad to hear the problem was solved. I still like Torq over Serato for all the bells and whistles you get. More flexibility of what you can do.

Behringer mixers are awsome for a studio setup doing recordings etc... and really I doubt you can do any better, so don't criticize him.

have you tried a ground loop isolator? I had a similiar problem and that did the trick, you can try one for $15 or so
