I personally observed decreased interpersonal communication in people who got into the cyber networking and sit all day on myspace. After all, I did it. It then hurts your eyes from all that time by the screen when you go outside in the sun. Every second person I meet has an issue with bright natural sunlight. People our generation get weirded out when you simply start talking with them on the street. Online networking is good for testing social skills...but who are you testing it on?

As a teenager, I have never seen anything worthy of the words bullying online excluding some messages that I would hear in a normal chat offline.

Most cyber bullying isn't going to be by people you know. It's going to take place on forums, not myspace or facebook. People don't give a shit about your social life, either. If it does reach myspace, it's often because the online strangers figured out your myspace. And hacked it. Gay porn.

hey howd you know, someone hacked my myspace and put gay porn all over the background. gross. i think that cyberbulling when it comes to strangers isn't a probably because people don't actually care or beleive what strangers on the internet think. i thinkt he most worry some cyberbullying, at least at what i went through, is when people who don't like you that you know make fake screen names to mess with you.

When I speak to children about cyberbullying and digital citizenship, I often get the "you will give kids ideas" line (as you allude). Sorry, parents and teachers, the kids already know about this stuff (youtube, fb, myspace, etc.).
