I used to have an Atari 800XL but don't remember this game on it. I only remember it being in the arcade

@morath11 this game only came to prototype form, and I don't really know if it's complete altough people say it is, you can get a copy from my atari if you're in the US but the cartridge is assembled by them.

@eviltwilight Pac-Man was fantastic on the Atari computers. It was only Tod Frye's 2600 Pac-Man that's the clunker.

The eyes are made using the 2-pixel wide missiles (stretched; the Atari was able to double and quadrille the width of PM) which are placed behind the players. Anyway: it's not true that P/M graphics can only have one color: it's possible to attach them and get 3 colors out of them (losing max. number of P/Ms of course).

I played it back in the day. The arcade version was released in 1982. I have been gaming for 30 years now and still get the same enjoyment I did when I started.

It was originally released for arcades. One of many unauthorized Pac-Man versions that caused Namco to eventually terminate its publishing deal with Midway. The game is part of the MAME rom set, and has been for some time.

@RawSteelUT Super Pac Man was not unauthorized. It was in fact the intended sequel to Pac Man. It was developed by Namco, unlike Ms. Pacman, Junior, baby and professor.
