great tutorial, you are 100x more helpful and easier to listen to than most of the videos out there. could you do a tutorial on number functions? For example: averages, addition from multiple windows, etc. I'm completely new to coding and would LOVE to learn more.
@ipodtouchacker No. But since I work with major companies and work closely with Apple, I can not promote Jailbreaking and using Private Frameworks/APIs. It is a personal choice. It does not change how iOS apps are written for the most part though, so nothing you really have to worry about. If you post your own apps though, you can not use private APIs.
@bstahlhood ok. so what's the MAIN difference in the jail-breaking part and official?just the frameworks/APIs? lol im saying that like i know what that is
@ipodtouchacker The main difference, is that with Jailbreaking, you have full access to do pretty much anything you want. Which can cause people to learn bad habits, which can not be used on the official SDK. Other then that, there is not that much of a difference.
@bstahlhood oh so ur talking about uploading it to cydia cuz those are the apps that were dissaproved by Apple because it didn't fit the rules/guidelines cuz the don't have an open operating system
@bstahlhood i thought i posted the comment but i guess it didn't post. but to make it access anything u want, you would have to put it in cydia right? cuz apple doesn't approve apps like that because they don't have an open source developing kit, and the apps in cydia are the apps that didnt get approved

ipodtouchacker 1 year ago
@ipodtouchacker Yes, but all my tutorials will be following the official SDK path. At lease for now...

@bstahlhood whats the official SDK path mean?
ipodtouchacker 1 year ago
@ipodtouchacker I am assuming you were referring to Jail Breaking your device?
bstahlhood 1 year ago
@bstahlhood no you do not have to jailbreak your device to put it on your idevice for free. but what did u mean about
"all my tutorials will be following the official SDK path"
what is the official SDK path?
ipodtouchacker 1 year ago
@ipodtouchacker Meaning I would not be using the jailbreak tool chain, jail breaking, or using private APIs.
bstahlhood 1 year ago
@bstahlhood oh. so if u jailbreak it, then the coding is different or something? would i need to worry about this if i am going to be a dev

@ipodtouchacker Cydia is a mix of apps not approved by Apple and some are just from devs who choose to go that route.
