I am disappointed that the judges made a mistake and denied Angela Martin a place in the top 24. She should have made the top 24 instead of Haeley Vaughn, who should have waited until season 11. If she made the top 24, I would have pulled for her.

I'm happy that she got a record label but I thought it would be incredible for her to actually get into the Top 24 because that's when contestants really start to grow. Kris Allen would never have been so successful if he didn't get the time to really discover his musical talents, and I just hope that Angela's record won't get rushed. And I hope to God that Kara doesn't mess it up for her by just writing a random song. She deserves better than that.

I kinda have the feeling that this was all planned. Kara said so many things to her on her judgment in Hollywood, so it didn't make sense that she was eliminated. She's an amazing vocalist, but I don't know if she would've won, considering it's more of a popularity contest once the real show begins...maybe they planned it like this because they took it personal and wanted her to have a deal?

@sugaichigo no she didn't have a record deal already in fact I don't think Ellen and Kara they're trying to to get on her on a label that haven't done it yet. The reason Angela didn't make it because she didn't fit in with Idol's agenda this year. Idol even said they're looking for a Taylor Swift type to win this year. Angela didn't fit in those plans.

Even if the whole idea was planned, I'm really happy for her. When she was told she hadn't made it into the Top 24, I had to grab my remote and hit fast forward on my DVR, I couldn't watch. Shes' a FANTASTIC singer, and so beautiful and poised. She's also a survivor of tragedy and whole lot's been thrown at her for such a young age. Plus she seems genuitely sweet. I'm happy big time! =]

this is a great thing they did. i think they thought that she wouldnt make it in the top 24 because she isnt as young as the other contestants. she can be as big as daughtry if this record deal does good

I think this worked out for the best of her. Being on American Idol is a big step, but its also a gamble. Ellen and Kara gave her an oppurtunity most of the wouldnt have gotten.
