good job mate. I really enjoyed your cover. especially the fills were pretty spot on, I would suggest filling up the groove with more bass drum on the off beats, but it was really great, good job man!
you should do more songs so i can actually compare myself to good players.. this is done very well but there are soo many shity players it disapoints me
Everyone is so quick to take shots. You shouldn't be allowed to post negative comments unless you post a video of *yourself* drumming *better*; and even then you'd be a douche bag. Nice playing kid, keep it up. Cheers.
is it just me that noticed that all the ghost notes on the snare that make this groove so great aren't there! nice try though. certainly not an easy song.
@artmc196 i know why he started wrong. its because the song doesnt get counted in so its hard to get the timing on when to start down. thats why he started a little late.
Cool job. The tuning of the drums, especially the toms, seemed quite different from what Bonzo used on the record. And I think you need to hit MUCH harder. I've heard the drum track soloed, and Bonzo was POUNDING the kit. Add to that the gated reverb Page used on the record, and the sound was enormous.
great job dude, but you really should stick with only 1 cymbal type, so i would suggest getting the full piaste 2002 set up, i have the same a john bonham and it sounds amazing
@MajorT127 That's all opinion right there. It's all about what sound(s) one wants to get from his/her cymbals. Some of the best drummers play a mix of cymbal brands. It's about what SOUNDS good to THEM. Look at Jon Fishman from the band Phish. He plays a mix and has an incredible sound. Not getting endorsements for the sake of being endorsed or just having the compulsion to have all your cymbals being the same make and model.
I read that the members themselves said that if they had to pick one song to define the Led Zeppelin spirit, it would be Kashmir. I think it was on wikipedia.
@Jul1592 you can tell by your stiffness, the way you hit... you definitely put no feeling into this. Just something you need to work on, nothing to be butthurt about.
The more you can isolate your movements, the more efficient you will play with less fatigue. Flailing your arms around doesn't make you play better. In saying that, everyone has their own style, no right or wrong. It's all about what you're comfortable with and what's efficient for you.
@derrik212121 Wow, you truly underestimate this drummer and Bonzo. Look up the songs, "Four Sticks," "Good Times Bad Times," "Moby Dick," "Dazed and Confused," "The Ocean," ("The Ocean" may not sound hard, but it changes time signature a lot from 4/4 to 7/8), "Fool in the Rain," and "Achilles Last Stand."
yeah sorry i still dont like the heads lol but its really how the person using um feels about um so yeah know biggy juxt not my favorie lol. yeah my yamahas are good drums i would like to invest in a good acoustic set too but i like the fact that you can turn down mine so you can have a good set and a good relationship with the neighbors lol. i also like all the cool settings to fool around with. but yeah as a request maybe enter sandman metallica yes? no?
dude your good, but i would like to see you doing harder stuff. i know its a difficult song at first, but its just rythemic. once you learn the beats its easy and slow. no dissin on john bonham though he is the best that ever lived rip. but yeah try a new song and the heads on those drums suck. sorry they are really ard and dont have a great bounce an sound kinda funky. my friend has some and they drive me nuts try try a yamaha dtxtreme lls
the heads are actually quality. they're remo ambassadors... regarding the yamahas.. if i had $2500 to spend, i would spend it on some Ludwig Legacy's, rather than some electronic drums. no offense to electronics, but i prefer acoustic drums. and yeah, when i get the time ill put another video out. any requests?
Something about it doesn't sound right to me. Can't put my finger on it.
