  • @Kjrl pure acid,mate!!

  • @Kjrl Saxophone solo tells me it's jazz, the smooth bass tells me it's funk xD

  • I'm a youtube junky now, thanks to this song...

  • This is my FAVORITE song, ever!!!! It always makes me feel brand new.

  • This song proved to be therapeutic! I did not just remember the good times this music provided during this era. I embraced and empowered those qualities that made me wholesome in my earliest learning stages!

  • it was a tiny little concert set on at a boat on the River Danube in Budapest and I stood so close to her at some point she touched my hand when I reached out while of course i was screaming my lungs out singing every single song.I will never forget the feeling of hearing them live and it a fanfuckingtastic quality.

  • @JRRDPR nahát fogalmam sem volt hogy voltak itt ! mikor ? bárcsak ott lettem volna.

  • nice song you go GIRL!

  • My ultimate fav track of all time, in all the universe.

When me and babe get our vows renewed this is the song that plays as she comes down the isle, truly is one the most beautiful love songs around.

Love will be here forever, i know that we'll stay together, our love will here forever, i hope that we'll stay together...

  • so underrated...

  • This band is still FIRE. 70's soul with the 90's flavour. I'm lovin that guitar riff at the beginning of the song. The 70's is still alive and kickin, believe that...

  • oh yea...If our dreams fall down to the ground we'll make them fli i i iiiaahhh!!!! I love this...beautiful words...hit the high notes...yea..

  • This reminds me of those good 'ole college days! Romance & self discovery!

  • great jam..huge BNH fan here, and N'dea is totally smokin here as well! :)

  • I know that the Brand New Heavies have had other female lead singers but nobody, but nobody can take the place of the beautiful and talented Ms. N'Dea Davenport.

  • @honeegrrl - Most definitely agree, the chemistry between the band and N'DEA compared to any other vocalist was never as tight, they just seemed to have so much fun when together, loved it, loved it all.

  • Great Fantastic Group from England that received little airplay in the USA.

  • I last saw the BNH at the old wembley stadium in the early nineties, just been listening to an old cd I found and this song was on it. Decided to look it up on here and found someone had posted a London date of 3rd December, will deffo try to go !!

  • Saw these guys at the Hampton Court Beer & Jazz Festival on Bank Holiday Monday - I'm delighted to say they haven't lost a trick! This was the first encore song and they absolutely NAILED it!

  • Never get tired of this song! : )

  • Never get tired of this song! : )

  • thats a comfort!

  • One of my Top 5 favorite songs ever. I was all of 7 years old when I first heard it; I can't believe that. N'Dea and the fellas rocked this joint.

  • Never Stop Guys! See u in London Dec 3rd!!!!!

  • Love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Folks the 70's though flawed were a time of optimism. The 60's were behind us, and conservative talk radio had nowhere near the impact it has today. This music covers both the good, & bad, but unlike current times provides an outlook for the future, and better times. We should be on the moon, & beyond by now. Today this nation is going bankrupt on bogus, wiless, cheeseball wars. The future looks bleak, but at least our refuge in music can't be taken away, at least not yet. BNH, & Incognito = 70s

  • I love this group, wonder where they are?

  • have to agree, this track inparticular puts me back in a warm spring day chugging around in my golf gti, sunroof open with not a care in the world. i'm 36 now (sob).

  • 36! You are just beginning to get the best parts of your life....The best is YET to come...But, I agree with you that song brings back such great memories.

  • great band

  • Cryin right now cause "he" just doesn't get it...but I know better

  • This groups music reminds me of happier timesm

  • @Nanadsyl I totally agree with you!!! Its not just that Im agreeing with you just to do so , Its because for some reason certain Heavies Tunes just puts me in a state of nostalgia, and almost sadness. Wishing and thinking about better , happier times. The BNH are so completely under rated. I often tell people that If you want to hear a group that keeps "True" R&B, Funk, disco, acid Jazz alive today, look no further than the BNH. No commercialism here!

    :)

  • JUST SEEING IF THIS WORKS

  • THIS SONG REMINDSM E OF MY FRIEND CHARMAINE IN ATLANTA... MISS YOU CHAR

  • They filled the void left by Loose Ends and Shalamar ...

    x

  • @GeneralTrousers - Wow soooo TRUE!!! ... TBNH are one of the most sensational very talented - well controlled - diverse group of all time. The lead Miss Lady got so much funk and soul with a true class act band to follow. Their track record is Amazing! - Even when she left! ... I love Her Energy tho, *Heavenly!

  • Sensational! This song still gives me goose pimples everytime I listen to it!

  • I love this song sooo much!!!! I think it is perfect especially with the lead vocalist, N'Dea Davenport, leading the way. I believe she has a strong & soulful voice which complement the group very well.

  • damn she looks good here

  • @mindshoplifter not only she looks good, SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE!!!

  • @mindshoplifter Yup! Pure LUST! Her man must be one happy mother fucker!!

  • @mindshoplifter She is a goddess with a voice to match.

  • @mindshoplifter - Amen my brother!!!

  • Talent+Beauty+Brains+Grace=N'Dea Davenport

  • from the golden era of music, beautiful..

  • As this video shows, Gorgeous N'Dea Davenport should have been the next thing. She needed more great songs to underpin her considerable talent.

  • One of my favorite 90's acts.

  • I think the most sensational song for the "heart" & "soul"

  • An Awesome time in music!

  • love BNH forever!!!!!

  • PLEASE COME BACK!! Music isn't like this anymore..BEST BAND...BEST MUSIC...N'Dea Davenport is the bomb...This band was and still is very talented...I have the entire BNH collection.

  • This group was very talented and didn't get the attention they deserved. This is REAL MUSIC!! Do it N' DEA...

  • They certainly have a unique sound,,Such a pity that they didn t go mainstream. One of my favorite groups..,I think that they are appreaciated more in Europe.

  • 1 of my all time favorite songs! Thanks...

  • This is the stuff!! Still love this group to this day. Great music. Great voices.

  • if it´s that good it becomes a classic...

this reminds me of my teenage years and i can´t still stop listening to it!

    I´m 30 now...

  • @keenonkitsch

Well i'm 42 and i still listen to their grooves. This and ''SOMETIMES'' Are my favourites.

  • N'Dea Davenpor is so sexy

  • Ah memories, love this song!

  • i bought this album when it first came out and really had forgotten about bnh over the years and i rediscovered them on u tube now i cant stop playing their music it makes you want to sing in dance...this is some good music man

  • Looking at Davenport's vocal ability, it's a shame at one point she was the it girl in the mainstream, and now most people have no idea who she is. She can still blow most female vocalists out the water that are out right now. It really is a shame.

BNH's was and still is pure Talent.

  • Back in the 90's when I got this, I never stopped playing it.

  • These guys (and Chick) are just awesome. Love them.

  • the BNH were truly a modern day rock & funk band...they had always reminded me of Chaka Khan & Rufus...love 'em, miss 'em!!

  • i saw them in live in paris almost every year ,it s wonderful ,2h party ,i love this band forever ,peace

  • It beautiful jazz! Have you ever heard of jazz house compositions Valerio Minicillo? The First, Crazy Funky, wow! There is a wonderful video, which is LA MAGIA DEL SAX !

  • Oh my gosh! I recently just found out about the Brand New Heavies (hey, I'm only 22, but an extreme lover of old school music) so I was about 3 when this song came out. I rock this song daily on my ipod. And man what I would give to be in N'Dea's place right now...singing, playing around awesome musicians, dancing around all carefree, having fun in the sun, and singing about love. It's wonderful. It just goes back to that 90s vibe. You can only wish to see something like this on TV now :-(

  • This is one of my favourite songs ever ....

N'Dea live is the BOMB , one of the finest live voices I have ever heard and her enthusiasm was so contagious , she had the crowd in the palm of her hand

  • One of my favorite groups of all times. They tore the 90's up. I miss this sound and their look was so eclectic. I love them.

  • I agree with you 100% They are my fav group /band and I think they are sooo underrated :(

Their style was something out of the 70's with a 90's , new jack groove.

    The ultimate funky rhythm section:

    Simon (Guitar)

    Jan (Drums)

    and Andrew (Bass)

N'dea - "NEVA stop" with those vocals girl!

  • @Mahlercougar total agree on the underated, but more underexposed i feel anyway. They were appreciated by the musicians of the time (eg HEAVY RYHME EXPERIENCE) for their freshness, but always were under the mainstream music radar. Which meant they never got enough worldwide exposure, which meant NOT ENOUGH people were exposed to the love that was BNH.

Personally I blame their promoter/agent whoever he/she is, BNH gave more than they got back. BNH FOREVER LOVE FOREVER RESPECT!

  • N'Dea, you bad, girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @e14212 LOL thank you! I love the version I have , but I would really love to hear the one with the orchestra !!!

  • This is N'Dea Davenport. My cousin went to college with her in Atlanta. Man, this music is in a class all by itself... still!

  • N'DEA is the original singer , this is just a different mix.

  • N'DEA was the original singer to record with them in 1990+

But before they got signed I think they had a singer named Jay Ella Ruth.I never heard anything with her on it.The band issued a debut recording for Eddie Piller's Acid Jazz label in 1990 with Jay Ella Ruth as lead singer but after getting signed and under the label "Delicious Vinyl".After that they re-recorded their Debut CD with NDEA who was a session singer(also working toward a solo career from the beginning)at the record company :)

  • THANX FOR THE INFO!!!! :) I wish she would come back! They will always have a strong fan base.

  • @ e14212 -CHECK OUT MY VIDEO , I THINK IT'S THE VERSION YOUR SPEAKING OF.

  • @lovley7000 YES..... :o) !!!! This is the version darlin but the one i heard had a orchestra playing the horns, it was hot ! INice video by the way, 5 $T@R$ all the way !

  • I'm hooked!!!

  • There's another version of this song, i haven't heard it in years and to me it was the best !

  • @e14212 Could've been an acid jazz remix.

  • @e14212 The Brand New Heavies - Stay This Way (The Morales Mix)

  • yes, i agree. this version is too smooth. the version on the LP is the joint.

  • I prefer the version with the original singer! I still don't know who she is...anyone know?

  • I believe it was Jay Ella Ruth

  • i want more , they have such an original groovy and funky sound . I love N'dea's voice and the band is JUST AWSOME!!!! MORE MORE MORE!

  • totally agree

  • It's the best. Keep it coming Davenport!!

  • sooooooooooooooooo good!!!!

  • Just a real cool groove genius
