Quite possibly, the best season finale I've ever seen on a T.V. show. The way they ended it was just perfect. The direction was so good and the emotion was so powerful that it left you with goosebumps when the credits came up, absolutely frozen with anticipation for what's going to happen next. This is what the Definition of a "cliffhanger" should be. Too bad no other Season of Nip Tuck even came close to Season 2's greatness...

Season 2's Finale was beyond a doubt the most powerful piece of television I've ever seen! This episode was the climax of encapsulating the dark, poetic, yet strikingly emotionally deep experience that this show was (in the early years at least). This episode is nip/tuck at it's peak. Season 2 is an almost flawless season of television. This episode is almost perfect, aside from the inclusion of Joan Rivers. The episode didn't need a gimmicky celebrity cameo. Although The Carver storyline brought us this incredible moment, his presence changed nip/tuck for the worse. He took over season 3, and the entire show suffered. I quit watching after season 3, because the whole thing was done so poorly.
i thought after 3 it started going downhill. i loved this show but i like the shield and the sopranos better although i wasnt the bigest fan of the sopranos ending but hey im no critic lol. i wished nip/tuck cud have finished strong =/

I also really like how Julian looks so sexy and carefree when he's standing outside the door, but the next time we see him he's paralyzed by the drug and fear, yet still looks beautiful. That single tear is fantastic! I was so shocked to see the carver standing over Christian instead of Sean.

The Carver should have come back for the final season... Instead we got a lack luster ending. But at least we have this great season finale to remind us of how great it was.
Hands down one of the best end to any season in the history of television. This was the peak of Nip/Tuck. It's a shame that so many writers came in and tried to many different things. The show never reached the greatness it achieved in the first two seasons. I will miss watching these now that it's all over.
Ya definitely great season finale. I feel Seasons 1-3 were its own show sort of, and everything past was just w/e. Its sort of like Scrubs, people consider Seasons 1-8 the show and Season 9 just fodder/waste or whatever. Ignorance is bliss.

Then the first like 10 minutes of Season 5.2 showing it from Colleen's perspective and the aftermath of Sean's stabbing in McNamara/Troy was great...probably the best portion of anything past Season 3.

I actually didn't start watching Nip/Tuck until the 4th season. I did see this scene and it got me intrigued. It's just that at the time I didn't have the patience to get into any TV shows that required you to watch every episode.
you should def. check out sopranos if you haven't seen it. nip/tuck (first 2 seasons) was very well done - sopranos outdoes itself throughout the entire series. you gotta remember that the artistic value on the TV medium was pretty much setup by The Sopranos. a lot of great dramas came afterward.

Season Six is the last season. The season is being split into two, so that the first half runs through to early 2010 and the second half runs through to early 2011. (Much like Battlestar's final season was split).
There is no season 7 or 8. (Unless you count the second half of season six as season seven).

I just found out the show's been canceled, and it breaks my heart, it really does.
