@TLOWNSU After you beat the forest temple Shiek lets you change back to kid Link, after that go to the little girl (forgot her name) in Lon Lon Ranch and pull out your Ocarina and she'll teach you the song :)

Guys, make sure you play epona's song when he lets you ride. I chose the closest horse to me when he let me in and i couldn't win the first race to save my life. I played epona's song (as shown in the video) and it was 2x faster, which made both races easy as hell.

hmm i remmeber my cousin told me that, after you get the horse, speak to malon then you can do a race, if you beat 1 race in 20 seconds i think it was, you would get a flying white horse. With it you could fly on top off the hyrule castle and find a triforce piece haha xD

@ChaoticFaeth22 Go back to the temple of time and put the master sword back in the stone. You will travel back in time seven years. Then go to the ranch and talk to the girl in the middle of the paddock. She will teach you the song. You can then go back to the temple of time and take the sword out again and you can revisit the ranch now knowing the song.

@Wiimaster10144 you can only ride epona by playing her song and she will come running towards you and to get more rupees you must collect gold skultullas and give them to the family i believe its 10 for the first time 30 for the next

You just play Epona's song anywhere in Hyrule Field, Lake Hylia, or the Gerudo Fortress and she'll come to you. She won't come if you're in a temple or the village, castle, etc.

I don't know if your stilling having the problem, but when your racing him, use your carrots when you REALLY need too, don't go all crazy with them. Hope this helps! :)

Nah, I beat him. It's all good. my problem was I kept getting cut off by him, but I managed to get in front of him in the middle of the race, so I stayed right in front of him so he couldn't go ahead of me then used all my carrots right at the end.
