Now im not the biggest GSP supporter. Im a far bigger fan of Diaz, and several other fighter. But I see a lot of people complain about GSP's style, the dominance of his wrestling and holding people down for 5 rounds. Joe Rogan was talking about Sean Sherk and the standup rule and said it best, "If you let Sherk hold you on the mat for 5 rounds, thats your fault". I fully agree with this. There are a million ways to get up or win the fight off your back. Diaz is one of those guys who is capable.

Everybody is afraid of Jake's jiu-jitsu and rightfully so. As for Diaz vs. Daley, it should be noted that part of why Diaz stood with him is because he didn't have a choice. His wrestling isn't very good and his takedowns, well...they kinda suck. Georges will do what he always does, mix his stand-up with gnp and probably win.
The last two guys he fought were not that experiened on their feet. Jake Shields has his wrestling and BJJ and Koscheck has his wrestling. Nick Diaz is an elite boxer and BJJ expert. He trains with the best. GSP does not like to take chances. You never know what will happen in MMA that is why Im a fan. But considering their skills and fighting history, it leaves people to assume that GSP will play it safe and just wrestle him for 25 minutes.

Chances are GSP wins, but I think Diaz is good enough to pose genuine problems for george.
They said the same about Jake Shileds Dan Hardy etc etc but Diaz is a different animal to any of GSP's recent opponents.
Only problem is Diaz has always struggled with wrestlers in the past. If GSP takes him down and doesn't give him any space this could just be another wrestle-rape.
Diaz gotta show he can handle wrestlers now. But Strikeforce ain't exactly the best place to learn.

I respect George, but I think Diaz will pose a serious threat to him. Diaz isn't the type of fighter that will stand around for 5 rounds and eat punches as most of GSP's opponents have in the past. Now im not the biggest GSP supporter. Im a far bigger fan of Diaz, and several other fighter. But I see a lot of people complain about GSP's style, the dominance of his wrestling and holding people down for 5 rounds. Joe Rogan was talking about Sean Sherk and the standup rule and said it best, "If you let Sherk hold you on the mat for 5 rounds, thats your fault". I fully agree with this. I hope GSP kicks Diaz's ass, and I'm from the same place Nick is from. GSP can beat him in more than one way but you have to realize that when you are a champion, at the top, always in the headlines, everyone is wanting what you have, your legacy is at stake, it makes most people's game plans a little more careful. Anything can happen in this fight, but I'd give it to GSP 2-3 times, if not more. He is strong and fast and i dont care how he wins as long as he gets it done. No excuses.

The UFC is totally feeding Diaz to GSP, I can't even think of one top 10 guy that Nick has ever beaten. I mean don't get me wrong Diaz is a good enough fighter but this is a huge mismatch. Alves, Koscheck, Sheilds, Fitch and probably even Penn were bigger challenges. Give the shot to someone that deserves it like Carlos Condit.

@Hickey563 You are spot on. Depending on how long A Silva is going to fight, GSP has cleared out welterweight convincingly, fuck this boring lay n pray hate, he wins...period. And usually, he wins every round. It takes two to lay n pray....look at cain v brock, cain was awesome at immediately exploding out and up to his feet after he got taken down by brock (i don't get why more strikers don't do similiar, don't lay in guard if you get taken down, get the fuck up).

@tttwas @tttwas not just because he fights them at there game is cause he beats them research diaz see how he trains whats hes really like how much he gives up people dont give credit where its deserved just because diaz attitude people dont respect him but this guys is legit he been training jj n boxing almost all his life look at his highlights gsp will never b that exciting do some research on him he sacrifices alot for this sport hes over fought over work people dont give him credit
