yes, shaq was the leader of the team for the first three championships and he would've probably won one or two (or even all three but I don't think so) without kobe. so kobe was lucky that he played with someone like shaq so early in his career. still, when you look at bryant's carrer, the main thing he has proven to us is that he deserved winning a couple of championships. lebron certainly deserves to win some, too - the difference is, he hasn't. The Lakers would be a playoff team probably, but they wouldn't go anywhere because Kobe is their most consistent scorer.
