Another great song with great words and harmony, where has this music gone? I realize there is still some good music around but it seems less and less is out there.
One of MY all time favorites. Have the album and cherish it. A god, whether it be one or more has nothing to do with how humans co-exist. Humans downfall is its ability to reason.
This is an amazingly beautiful song that reminds me of my childhood and beyoung....BUT this video totally ruins this song!!! WOW...could we not have just done some cool photos or something??? GAHHHHH!!!

this music,as well as other wonderful groups of the 70s..CANNOT BE REPLACED..& this shit they sing today has no heart.i honestly think that there running out of songs.lol
You miss this music? We'll if you stop buying the new crap that's out there, and stop your voting habits for progressives (liberals), maybe people will produce good music once again...Ever think of that? Speak up! There are many out there that feel the same, but remain silent.
@TheStang59 In the short version, you would need to study physics and harmonics. It has been known for quite sometime now, that music can affect human emotion as well as affect growth in biological forms. It can repair or damage DNA, the heart of life itself. This is why for example, when classical music such as Beethoven, etc. were the pop music of the time, there was an awakening in knowledge that resulted in many discoveries...Today music reflects an unnatural rise in crime.
@TheStang59 Very simple. It started in the 60's when they removed GOD from the classroom. That was the beginning. The left over good people remained enough to create nice music into the 70's. Then gradually you see a shift to violence, anger, and vitriol in music until you have the pathetic music of today. The paradigm shift started in the late 80's. It is all designed by liberals to break down the family and so on to enable the government to take over our lives. Liberals & evil.
@HHH100 actually here in canada, when i was in elementary school in the 70's, god was still in the classroom. in fact we had a religion class. i remember it well cause i got to colour pictures of jesus!
@jaytotheell Amen! I would bet anything that when God was in the classroom lessons, no one ever heard of or could comprehend a school shooting. Back then there were NEVER any kids committing murders there or here......After God was removed? Well the record speaks for itself.
@HHH100 Not true. Everything that you read about today has happened forever. A god is a fiction created to explain mans failings. A god has nothing to do with anything except the imagination of faith in one. There is no record to validate your claim.
@itdoesntmatter56789 Atheism is a religion. Apparently you do not know about recent discoveries like ATP synthase. These are molecules required for life. These are intelligent designed, because there are no known precursors to this multi-faceted, exquisitely efficient motor that is so tiny, 120,000 of them could fit on the head of a pin.
The complexity of life did not happen by accident. Anyway as time goes by, the evolutionists and atheists are eating more and more crow.
@semkobenko There is no longer a movement to understand, but a residual ignorance that pollutes the world. Back in the days of good music, the world was doing better.
@semkobenko There is no doubt good music being played it is just that this is not what titillates the weak minds of today's generation. And thus we never hear.
@KusanagiEyes If you don't like the images, don't look at them. The quality of this song is good enough that you can just close your eyes, sit back, chill out and relax. Don't worry about it. Good job Anubis. Way to go Poco, good one!
Somebody referred to this band as "washed up old bums' Someone should explain to that person that ignorance is probably their only excuse....This is one of the greatest american bands in history. Way ahead of their time and better country rock than anything Nashville is currently producing....Get a clue!
Good tune ..."Geehowdy" WTF are you slobberin' about? ...How does this tune "encompass country rock" and/or relate in any way to your aformentioned bands? ....It's a nice tune ...leave it at that...Putting it in your own personal catagory doesn't matter to anyone but you
I was a Poco fan from their emergence until TBS left the group to join the Eagles. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of the end for Poco. I saw them in concert over 25 times and they were a sensational live band. Thank you for postng this wonderful treasure.
This song brings back such bitter/sweet memories. I was 15 or 16 and had just broken up with a boy and my heart was broken and I cried myself to sleep. I had my radio turned down very low and this song came on and woke me; I started to cry again. When hear this song now I'm that young girl again in my bed in my parents house on that winter night and I feel that pain again of lost love.
Thank you so very much for posting the song and for the memories of love.
I saw this band at an outdoor gig in Springfield MA on a rainy night back in the summer of 2000. Spoke with Paul Cotton, George Grantham and Rusty Young before the show and I asked if I could take some performance pics - nice bunch of guys, and I got lots of great photos of them during their show. This song was Poco's first ever Top 40 hit, and their last was "Call It Love" in 1989. My personal favorite Poco tunes are "Rose of Cimarron" and "A Good Feeling To Know".
I was 18 and working in a mall record store in Duluth MN- on winter break- Musicland. A more knowledgeable sales guy suggested I pick this LP up...along with this new unknown duo...Buckingham -Nicks( later Fleetwood Mac). Great advice, yes?
I send you this my "Crazy love" I have to break away from this human tragedy and get back in touch with my heart and possibly even yours, Ahh a small break from this crazy world into our crazy love feels so great such a relief – have a wonderful day love - I hope you like this and have not heard before as I count my tears coming down - right now I am going to "I'm going to break away" into LOVE
With the barrage of sensory input that bombards us throughout the day, it's nice to sit back with a beverage of choice and enjoy smooth, soothing vocals and music that evoke pleasant memories and emotions. Guess that sums up the Poco experience for me. :)
One of the loveliest, saddest love songs of the 70s..................brings tears to my eyes almost every time, probably because I can very easily relate to what they're talking about.
This song is just so amazing!! Always loved this one!! Poco sure put out some great songs!! This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much. What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. This song is pure magic in itself!! Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ☺♥
Wow an amazing song...Ive loved this for years. I listen to this and I think of my late wife Liz and it brings a tear to my eye. Poco thanx for an amazing song.
No music today has this kind of harmony----the 70's were KNOWN for good harmony, like the Eagles, Poco, etc. What the HELL has happened to music today????
@geehowdy1 This was actually a forgotten musical sub-group called Country Rock, which encompassed groups like the Marshall Tucker Band, Firefall, the Charlie Daniels Band, Commander Cody, Pure Prairie League, Cowboy and others. Very close to Southern Rock, except the Southern rockers were influenced mostly by The Who, The Beatles, The Stones, Cream and the more rock-oriented acts of that era, as well as by blues artists like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf.
@Saffronrevo yeah same here! my stupid friends always like "dude what are you listening?" and i always say "this is what real music is all about, idiot!"
When I heard Neil's brother, Rusty, was in this band I couldn't wait to get my hands on the LP. Never got to see them but I played the shit out of that album. Ahhh.......POCO - Pure. Beautiful.
1979 - what a great year, what a great group in POCO, what a great song! So glad I lived in the time when this music was shared, so sad that are youth will never experience music like this again.
@jitsufit couldn't have said it better myself. What's interesting to me is that now you get how many younger ppl who keep posting the simple truth- This "old school" stuff beats the hell out of ANYTHING played on the air now! This was back in the days when it actually took talent, effort and some level of vocal skill to make music, and those that did have songs that stick with us through the ages :)
I met the band back in the seventies. They were the backup band for Yes., I was an usher and got to go backstage and hang out with Timothy B. Schmit and Paul Cotton. I still have the guitar pick with "Poco" printed on it that Tim gave me. Great memories. Timothy later left Poco and joined The Eagles. Poco was way ahead of their time, and never received the recognition they deserved.
@pocogirl Yes, they were great memories Anubis, I was able to meet quite a few bands during the seventies, but meeting Poco was a highlight. I remember they were so humble, and the stage director was surprised that my friend and I had no interest meeting Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman from YES, we hung out with Poco instead.
Lucky you! I always loved Poco. I saw The Eagles in May of this year. I don't have the words to describe how good the concert was - and I've seen LOTS of concerts; The Beatles, Cream, Led Zeppelin when they were the opening act for Vanilla Fudge, Fleetwood Mac (several times) and on and on. Timothy B. Schmit has always been one of my favourites. Even in a group like The Eagles, he remains a star in his own right. So do Henley, Walsh and Frey.
@pocogirl I had no Idea that Timothy B.Schmitt played in Poco, but now that you've mentioned it I can plainly hear his harmony vocal! Thanks for this bit of info, I love this type of trivia. Beautiful song and it evokes a lot of great childhood memories.
@pocogirl Well I just learned something! I have The Eagles on dvd with Mr. Timothy B. Schmidt performing "The Girl from Yesterday" on it. Hell Freezes Over Tour .Beautifull Song. Thanks for the info! And you are right Poco is so underrated by the media.
when im alone i always listen to this song and hope that when i sleep i wont be able to awake.

Great song! Thanks for posting. "Crazy Love" and "Heart of the Night" are two fabulous songs from this group.

@pocogirl That is awesome!

I totally agree. Saw them with Little River Band in Portland, Oregon, Wow what a combination made our Anniversary very special.

@pocogirl I had no Idea that Timothy B.Schmitt played in Poco, but now that you've mentioned it I can plainly hear his harmony vocal! Thanks for this bit of info, I love this type of trivia. Beautiful song and it evokes a lot of great childhood memories.

@MrUnderdog1970 Timothy wasn't in the band during this recording, he left a few years prior in 1977
