Good calling there, but not very sporting them by shooting them as soon as they get up. It would make a hell of a video, and actually be sporting if you shot them in flight; test the shooting skills as well as the calling. If you shot duck like that in england you wouldn't get far...

Also it is actually harder to kill them on the water because the wings are guarding more of the vital organs, so unless shot hits them in the head they are less likely to be killed quickly.

Im not digging a hole at all, being from Oklahoma, I know that most of these ducks are call shy, and are working decoy spread really hard looking for reasons to bail, if you can get them to get within gun range your a good hunter, much less get them to land. So I dont see why flushing is a problem, its just like pond hopping which I am sure everybody has done, so dont be hypocritical.

Don't hunters have enough to worry about, with PETA and other anti-hunting organizations, without splitting amongst ourselves? Who cares if you hunt meat or trophy, bow or gun, as long as you use the resource respectfully and don't leave the harvested animals to rot. Hunting for food is acceptable, however it is most likely unnecessary, unless the hunter was too poor or too far from the grocery store to shop there. I can also understand that a hunter might want meat that the store doesn't sell. Trophy hunting and a hunter having pride and/or bloodlust are the main concerns.
