@mariofrank08 Mostly because Russians do. My Russian History teacher took a trip over there last year, in either fall or winter. Whatever store or booth at the market she stopped at, whenever she mentioned she was american, the booth owners or whatever would pull out a bottle of vodka and insist she drink some. It's a popular Russian belief that Vodka acts like anti-freeze in the bloodstream, so yes, the greater majority of Russians drink Vodka.
