  • I heard George Harrison say he brought in Clapton as a favor because at that time tensions were high between Lennon & McCartney over who's songs got on more of the album (white album) bickering overshadowed what use to be real team work. George was fed up because his songs weren't getting any attention from the band & Clapton's presents would make them act more focused having an "outsider" amongst them & Clapton 's bluesy style Harrison felt fit the song more than his own...I would agree

  • oh man there they are they are both my favorite guitar players/singers in the freaking world it is great to see them together

  • Yep, Paul failed in the introduction, but take a look at the video of the Concert For George, he does it perfectly. /watch?v=rj4J6i_vw0w

  • Originally by The Beatles, ClaptonMusicVideo, not George Harrison.

  • Eric Clapton originally played the guitar on the album. They brought him in because him and George were best friends. That should be put in the description.

  • epic performance, amazing solo

  • Does anybody know whcich pickups does Eric use in this particular guitar? LS Gold or VN?

  • @macqster Definitely not the LS anymore. They are the VN pickups.

  • don't forget phil collins on drums.

  • this just proves that George Harrison is truly the best, but it is a nice tribute

  • Paul's Piano Intro FAIL

  • @keyblok so does your face

  • @Robotdrummerzzk wtf? Paul McCartney is a god in perfectionism, but he can miss, sorry for laugh a little bit..

  • @keyblok um...

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that phil collins on the drums?

  • @gabycastresana yes, it's him.

  • Holy crap did you hear the clanger of a note that Paul McCartney hit in the piano part at the start of the song.Even god like geniuses get it wrong sometimes

  • @1ellababy2005 Yea , i noticed that right away :o

  • clapton is unreal. it sounds like his guitar is crying the way he plays.

  • FYI: the solo in this song was written by clapton and in the original song back in the 60's eric also played the solo

  • @cgyiltis Sorry, but Clapton DID NOT write this song. George did. Clapton played on the original Beatles version, but he didn't write it.

  • @judecreek2 although clapton didnt write the song, harrison invited him to the studio when he recorded it. its georges song but eric clapton did do solo work on it.

  • @louthedevil2 Clapton played solo in the original song, but he didn't write it.

The song and the guitar solo for it have been written by George Harrison, but he couldn't record solo by himself, so he asked Eric to play it.

  • Great Duet by The one and only Eric Clapton and Sir Paul McCartney at Her Majesty's Pleasure, Courtesy of NB.

  • what a fitting tribute- two great musicians and both played with George before

  • This is what rock and roll was all about amazing songs and riffs that sent a shiver up your spin id love to strap the jonas brothers to a chair and force them to listen and recant all the crap they have created.

  • probly because George died only a year earlier- it was a tribute for him is why its full of emotion and chosen as a song to play.

  • surprisingly sounds like as close to the original can sound when someone other then the original is singing.

  • Haha Macca's brought his own piano with him!

  • Yes! I was right! Eric Clapton did do the guitar solo to this song :D

  • Bloody brilliant. Thank you so much for posting.

  • Its great

the boss of the other songs by music

  • The composer George Harrison died on 29. november 2001

What a lost. What a wonderfull song.

  • @tulpenmichel yes, it's sad George & John died young. John was murdered for no reason and George died of lung cancer from smoking. What a loss. Plus, Paul should've had Ringo come play drums at this event.

  • @4FabBEATLES I thought it was throat cancer.

  • wow thanks arigato !!!!!!
