We did end up legalizing one for the street. If you are going to put one on the street, you will need to raise the gearing, you will want a brighter headlight, and you will want to widen the wheelbase on the front and back! Good luck!

i rode a 525 ecx all summer set up for street riding and they are nasty, completely stock it kept up with my buddies 600r till around 100 n then the crotch rocket would blow by but for a stock motor ktm was deff not fucking around with that 525, all i can say is, it must be nice........

It all depends on where you ride most! Hell you have 4 of the things set up two for sand and two for dirt lol

The banshee's stock suspension is really smooth when stock. But I'm only weighing in at 170lbs and it's set up perfectly. I've been looking into breaking down and getting a 4stroke and that ktm looks like the quad to get!

How was the pricing? Pretty reasonable?

@banshee350cc The suspension right now is set up firm, as it is fully adjustable. I do a mix of dirt and sand riding, though its more set up for dirt.

I should take the time to soften it up huh? It rides excellent on sand, compared to a stock suspended banshee.

if you got the money why not spend it. you got about 100 hours on the motor and you have not had any problems with it, becasue i'm stuck between the 525xc but fear that i will be doing maintaince to it everytime i run it or the raptor 700 but feel if i get the raptor i will be disapointed

The only other thing i had an issue with, is the rear brake, which was upgraded / fixed under warranty (i got a early model with a bracket prone to breaking) Just make sure you keep the recommended synthetic oil in it.

I would love to put a 2 stroke motor in the Quad frame. But the 4 stroke is still very powerful, and i definately enjoy the torque.

the ktm have better accelaration in the 2 first gear then the yfz and ltr and in the 3 last gear the ktm catch's more speed then the yfz and ltr! So the ktm450 are still faster just not as much as a 525 but still its faster then the ltr and yfz

Any quad can be heavily modified to go very fast, there isn't one that is "way" faster than the others stock vs stock, really. Pick one and turbocharge it if you want to smoke them in a race. the problem is, its very expensive for most people to modify them.
