  • why didnt they make dvds for cocnerts back in the 1980s - around 1984-87???? that such an awesome period of time - they had such energy!!!!!

  • I WAS THERE I WAS THERE. jk. i wish i was though. how sick would that be

  • Thanks for posting.....amazing to see this from back in the day.

  • he couldn't sing like he used to in 1985/1984

  • The best era for Jovi!

  • wow! you gotta love that intro!

  • Awesome Footage...back when Bon Jovi kicked ass.....and when their bass player actually mattered!!

  • jon promised that they play songs from the first 2 records before slippery.and they even did it.couldnt believe it! just check out on youtube here ,,bon jovi-roulette´´

and u will find it live 2010 !

  • @lox78 Yes but unfortunately they dropped that like a hot potato. I was the 4th show of the Circle tour and I didn't get anything from either first 2 albums, and a few shows after that they were gone from the set.

  • @MARIOFREAK821 hm ok...i will see it this sunday.gonna be at munich olympic stadium here in germany.i hope they bring tokyo road or only lonely..but honestly i dont believe it..but im happy that richie is back!!!!

  • @lox78 They just did an incredible setlist in Croatia, (Hey God, These Days, Something For The Pain, Love's The Only Rule, Raise Your Hands was the opener) so who know what they'll bring out.

  • I would give anything to hear Jovi play this out live again.. Such swagger and bombast from this period of their music.. Can't wait to see them again in Atl on 4/15 baby!!

  • Bon Jovi clearly being the high point, I miss the 80's era rock and roll period.

  • This was the first Bon Jovi song that I learned to play on the guitar. First saw them live in 1985 opening for Ratt in the Omni in Atlanta, GA.

  • @veotis40 I seen them open for Ratt, same tour, Starlight theatre in Kansas City Mo. It was still daytime, They rocked, but you know how it is for warm up bands, people still finding their seats, not really paying attention etc....I sure wish I would've taken some pictures back then.

  • @01po01po I saw this same show 7/19/85 @Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, IN. Was the Invasion of your Privacy Tour \m/

  • @The147350 Yea , coool...cant believe its been that long ago. I had 10th row seats or something.. and back then I wasnt to concerned about taking pictures and stuff ya know....but

now I wish I had taken a few, bon jovi a warm up band, alot people dont know or have forgotten how it was back then for them. now they sell out multiple nights at stadiums everywhere.... And RATT I still remember Pearcy saying "last year we went round & round, this year we're laying it down" the place went nuts....

  • @01po01po Yeah man, I wasn't too concerned with pics way back then either lol I did see Ratt open for Scorpions last year on the farewell tour in Tampa, Fl. Even took my Way Cool Jr. 13 yr old son which made it nice. Rock on Brother & Stay Metal \m/

  • Fantastic!!!...One of those "i was there" moments!!...i came away from this show sweating like a Muslim going through customs!...Saw them again years later at the Don Valley Stadium, it wasnt the same somehow!

  • minute 1:15 sounds like a race car

  • Man Richie´s it´s not worry about being technically Great for heavy metal solo..

He just playing with the crowd..

Anyway, this it´s a great perfomance..

I miss a LOT the 80´s bon jovi, on the 90´s the band turned a lot more soft and boring ..

  • There 90's music was better than there 80's music. and it wasnt soft and boring...

  • @QueenJneeuQ I loved it all, some 90's i perfer then 80's, some 80's then 90's. no matter what they do, bon jovi is a legend and they rock!! :D

  • i agree with QueenJneeuQ... i mean the 80's bon jovi was great but people change and develop... the 90's bon jovi is really good too and hit great ballads such as always and bed of roses so if u call that boring then u must be a fucking retard....

  • Thank you so much for posting this! God, they were so amazing, and the best part is that they STILL ARE!

  • Bon Jovi continue to ignore this album to this day.. what a shame. I think it's their best!! love the early stuff.

  • good old day i miss bon jovi at this era...all member has doing a great job...thanx

  • LOKO DE MIERDAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    JEJEJJE

  • richie plays the one way out riff by the allman brothers at 1 point

  • Bon Jovi en los 80´s, buenos tiempos para el rock and roll

  • once upon a time when jon was able to scream...

  • Hes def on coke i love it goodole skool richie boy!!

  • Richie Sambora....rules...the best guitar of the hard rock ever....

    Richie Is GOD.

  • @rodrigovh1984 nope not god..good yes god would be george lynch

  • RICHIE IS GOD!!!

  • i think bon jovi would be nothing without richie

  • Young guns soundtrack???

But Richie is as important as Jon

  • I agree the solo at the start was very good. In my opinion Ritchie is the talent in Bon Jovi and very under rated as a guitar player. But the drum solo if it was one was very very basic. If you were to take ritchie out of bon jovi they would be a basic band and probably would not have had as many hits!!Still graet energy though by jon

  • Technically Richie´s solo was pretty basic for heavy rock too

  • Richie is very talented, but Jon voice WAS the band in the early days....and why he was the only one with a recording contract.

  • And now look. Its mainly his looks and the other members playing that keeps the band afloat. His singing is far from being as good as what it was.

  • Well, the band is now famous as "the band" and you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I disagree wholeheartedly. His voice has changed, sure, but he's still great and it's he who remains the voice of Bon Jovi.

  • classic stuff hardyhar!

  • TICO!!! my hero and teacher.....

  • richie van halen/

  • Who's that man at the beginning??? Richard Benson?...

  • Richard Sambora

  • GOD

  • Richie does an awesome job at the beginning... as for Tico, I love how he just throws his drumsticks into the crowd and then continues drumming.

    Great performance!
