@Amyante The first song is the theme song to the movie Once Upon a Time in China and is taken from the Ming Dynasty folk song "Under the General's Orders"; the version used for the film is entitled "A Man Should Better Himself" and was written by Wong Jim.
I'm aware that you don't care what anyone thinks. You don't even seem to take care about what you think or say. These are traditional martial artists who work hard to improve their skills and pass them on to the next generation. But as I say, talk is cheap and I know you're not going to show any of your "skills" so after your reply to this comment we shall end this pointless discussion and agree to disagree.
@jasma98 I would have hoped, someone who considered themself an authentic practitioner would be more keen on noticing the frauds and results of the cultural revolution in which the traditional arts masters were ruthlessly massacred. I do not make this criticism out of a lack of respect, on the contrary. What "Skills" of mine should I show? Even if I did not practice any martial arts, it doesnt change the facts that what we see in this video is cheap dance reproduction.
Contemporary wushu...brought to you by wonderful things such as the cultural revolution.
This is dance art guys. Watch the hips of the "tong bei masters." They aren't connected to the rest of the body at all. And if that doesn't make sense to you, you're not doing it right either. This is arm flailing in pajamas.
@Twycross you obviously don't know the first thing about Chinese martial arts because if you did you would have learned about respect by now. But before you can respect others you must respect yourself. Try it. Once you have self respect you won't feel the need to disrespect others. Just a thought. All the best.
@jasma98 Pointing out this is just dance isn't disrespectful. Pretending this is authentic is disrespectful. If you would have learned anything about martial arts, you'd have learned body mechanics. You can keep your political correctness you learned in your "style." I'll keep the mechanics.
@Twycross Me and you both know that you would not say that to the face of any practitioner in this vid. Further more it's not about political correctness It's about respect for the hard work these people've put in to developing themselves. Re body mechanics, Iv'e probably forgotten more than you've learned. This vid shows cross connection energy, horizontal as well as vertical circular spinal motion, waist leading external movement, mind leading internal movement. Should I continue?
@jasma98 It's just poor body mechanics. If you want we can discuss each individual guy in the video. First guy in the white, his hips are literally motionless while he flails his arms about. The strikes are disconnected from his steps. He's just windmilling it in a dancing manner.
Purple guy that comes second. Same thing, disconnected from foot to hand although his hips do move...sort of.
Third guy...basic mistake, the horse stance is a horse stance, not a cow stance. It's too wide.
@Twycross As I say, you haven't got a clue. Stop all the chat 'cos talk is cheap. Show something and make a positive contribution to the world of martial art"s. Do something constructive.
Question of another nature, but what's the song called?

@jasma98 Ask me if I care what you think. This is cheap dance fu that has little to do with actual martial arts.
