a blr should NOT be chambered in 450marlin!!! its a lever round! not ment for box magazines. i have a 1895M chambered for 450marlin. my favorite brush gun!
i've had a blr .308 for 5 years now. It's a great hunting gun. Short, light, fast and accurate. I'm not much for the high sheen ,but overall love the gun.
that gun is gay. a real lever is a winchester, marlin. if you like long range shooting and superior ballistics dont get a lever gun.... and if you do want one marlin xlr line up 338 or 308 marlin express.
Do you own a .308 MX? I am considering purchasing one and would like to talk to someone who has one. I know I like the marlin 336 feel and have always wished they were in a better cal than the 30-30. Have you tried any 300 yard shots and how did it work.
yes, I own a 308 marlin express.I took down a 2point buck reasantly at 175 yards and the deer just dropped. were I live the shots never go out to 300 yards so i usually just practice at 200 or less and it works fantastic. the marlin is a true handmedown rifle that will last forever and the browning blr is good for beginnersn and it is not a true leveraction rifle. If your getting a 308 or 338 get the marlin. there the same price.
The Marlin 308 is a better handling gun, but I would rather have a rifle that uses more commonly available ammo, and .308 Win is still cheaper than .308 Marlin Express.
I own one in .308, had it for almost 8 years now, it's a tack driver...shoots 1/2 MOA. The trigger is a 2-stage, anyone complaining about it hasn't spent enough time playing with one, take up its first stage and it fires as precise as anything out there. One of the best rifles on the market!

wow i'm surprised a company like Browning would let a screw up like that @ 1:54 slip into an advertisement

They don't want us to believe that anyone would actually "use" a gun and actually "fire" it.

It is vastly superior.

I have had people try to tell a lever action can't be as accurate as a bolt action. I don't know where people get this stupid idea.

If it took FAL or AR-10 magazines, i'd consider it.

Does anybody else think it's hilarious that at 1:53 the guy fires the gun without the hammer actually being cocked?
