@sif121 actually its not, I can't quote directly so please look further into this yourself but I beleive the prophet (pbuh) himself was once narrated listening to a choir of girls singing for him, and he only stopped them when they made a comment about him being in their presence. My understanding was that only music talking about and promoting Islamic behavior should not be listened to.
