Yeah. Doesn't even sound like the vocal melody of the original recording. The 1975 live one here on You Tube does. I've found that many times tribute bands sound better than the actual band cuz they're young still and their voices haven't gone to pot. Paul McCartney still sounds good though.
Saw them last night in Newcastle (UK) and they're still magnificent live! La Villa Strangiato and Working Man as encore ...... just spell-binding brilliance, and they have fun too! Awesome
also geddy did not take any lessons to sing he knew how to but to get his voice to what it was on moving pictures took A LOT of work soo, all the screamy stuff he did on earlier albums did not help his voice.
@Annonymus121 Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Greg Lake, Roger Daltrey, Ian Gillan (he cant get reach his signature High A now), Ozzy Osborne, Frank Zappa gets a pass because it wasn't age related and it happened before his creative peak, which was more like a creative plateau that never went back down). David Bowie, etc...
Imagine singing at that pitch for his whole life!!! Yikes, that would be an incredible feat for a band who's pulled off incredible feats everytime they take the stage.
I couldn't admire these guys more if I tried!!! Rush Forever!!!!
I have to echo what Winterstick said with a few additions: He's still hitting the majority of the notes in this song and this entire concert and there's absolutely no mistaking that it's Geddy Lee. So, his voice is also STILL very much the SAME. ; )
Very cool. They hadn't played this one since a sweet ass 5 show run here in sunny South Florida in '85. Power Windows Warm Up Tour or Second Tour Of The Nadars if you please . . .

To think...That song was a classic when they performed it in 1991...and that was 19 years ago.
Just saw them again in San Antonio. Still great!

I'm one of Rush's biggest fans..even play drums in a Rush tribute band..but I gotta say..this performance has the energy of a snail. Why even bother?

Goes to show that only Jon Anderson of Yes is the only one of his generation who can still hit the notes he hit in 1971 (recent illness aside).

Heh, this is one of those rare live versions of this song where Geddy doesn't implement the beer lyric.

This song sounds OK, with Alex playing the PRS, but it's missing that extra bit of balls the Gibson ES 355 has.
Funny, I heard Alex say a PRS was 1/2 way between a strat and a Les Paul. But this is the 1st time I noticed it.
