That being said, there is a Wii emulator for the PC that, like many game console emulators, can play games at higher resolutions than the original console can. You can find videos of this on YouTube.
Of course, that's technically illegal, and I imagine you would need a killer PC to play at full speed. Plus, you would have to deal with any emulator glitches.
@JAREDMICHALLE: I think you're missing the point. It's an upscaler, not a resolution changer. It uses an algorithm to approximate pixels, as opposed to just blowing up the picture to a bigger size. Changing the actual resolution of the outputted graphics would require better hardware inside the Wii.
@JAREDMICHALLE: What, the emulator? It's not a hack. Emulators at the barest level are meant to emulate one system on another system, but most emulators go a step further and try to better the emulated system.
That's why, if you really wanted to, you could play N64 games at a 1920x1080 resolution with anti-aliasing on a good N64 emulator. Mind you, the textures and models will still be the same old originals.
Well yeah I know about all the that, but I really don't use emulators on my computer.I would use them if I could find a decent one.Besides that I can't use any right now until we get the viruses off of my computer.
works good on older HDTVs that don't have a good internal upscaler. Wii looks terrible on my Bravia purchased in 2006 (Sony cuts corners on their lower end models). New TVs purchased in 2010 will most likely have a better upscaler for 480p content and may not need this hdmi device... although being able to use HDMI is a great benefit - less wires and you can use an HDMI switch.
Muito foda em HD ! VO COMPRAR O ADAPTER! =)
