  • Holy ish!!!! I love this song. I remember this from the Coca Cola rap tape from way back in the day. I've been looking for this song for forever and I can't believe I just found it, and I had no idea that the lyrics were drastically changed for Coke, though after listening to this version, I'm not surprised.

I love this song and thank you so much for posting this.

  • This is such a fantastic find. I love this song so much and have for years but couldn't find it anywhere!!! This was so different and fresh back then like Slick Rick and such. Thank you thank you!!!

  • I had this song on a sampler tape. It was a slightly different version, but this was my joint. The tape also had a song by Larry Larr and couple of other folks.

  • This here was/is my guy we went to Merced College together. I've been lookin' for this forever. MC Chebe-B!!!!!

  • OHHH SHITTTT!!! Been lookin' for this for years! WOWEEE... The video was kinda ill, too. That's right...he was down with the Underground...

  • HO-LY SHIT!!

This song was one of the 4 songs on a tape my best friend gave me that opened me up to rap...I've been looking for this song ever since it tape bit the dust...For years, I've been trying to recreate that tape, and this was the one missing song...

Amazing how much I remembered after almost 20 years...And, apparently I had the radio edit...LOL...

Thank you so much for getting this up!! =D

  • my pre-teen jam right here.

  • Where is the rapper who did this song did he die?

  • oh this is one of my all time favorites. i'm so happy i found it.

  • His style and flow reminds me a little of Digital Underground. does anyone know if there's a connection?

  • Cheba toured with DU. He also sounds a lot like Shock G of DU. I wouldn't be surprised if Shock G and Cheba are the same person.

  • @teakins2002

    you are right!!

  • @superque4

    Yes..he was from that camp

  • I remember this

  • Hey man..this is Joe The Butcher. Produced this track. It was the first release on my label RUFFHOUSE...I stll kinda dig it, even tho its a little corny

  • Hey Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo :)

been looking for this song for 20 years, since i heard it on french radio... do you know where i can buy the single ?

  • Yo Joe your stuff is legendary! From Philly to France!

  • YO! This was my cut back in the day. Any chance I can get it on mp3?

    Thanks for sharing..........

  • @Joeycheez I got this song on the New Music Sampler/Rap tape you use ot have to send away to Coke to get a sampler tape of any genre ya wanted it had ya label on there along with Columbia Def Jam Epic which Sony Distributed the tape to coke to send out when they had that going on back in 91

  • @odog65 I still have that tape.

  • @odog65 Me too! I thought I was going crazy, but I swore up and down I remembered this from a sample cassette I had from circa 1990 or so. Whoa!

  • @abalahalamatandra I got the tape for free in a 12 pack of Coke during the summer of 1990. I think the tape was like a summer hip hop mixtape. It had a Larry Larr joint that was pretty bangin' as well.

  • @odog65 That's where I got mine too. That whole tape was skip-proof. I've been looking for it on ebay and shit for years now.

  • @Joeycheez Yo Joey this is a CLASSIC I was trying to remember this joint. Nothing Corny about it it's witty and slick.
