  • The reason this guy doesn't get it is the same reasons the Pharisees didn't get it... All their words get in the way of The Word, the Spirit of Truth, Who has appeared in a New Name, as Revelation 3:12 alludes to...

  • What I find ridiculous about both bahais, muslims, and christians is that they all make some claims to "progressive revelation", but according to all of them their manifestation is the latest, greatest one who everyone who doesn't agree with is lost.

  • Jesus warned of false prophets, and He told us how to know the true from the false. He said "by their fruits ye shall know them." Consider, if there were to be no true prophets after Christ, wouldn't He have just said that there will be none, rather than telling us how to distinguish the true from the false? Although this passage of Scripture is often used to argue that there can be no prophets after Christ, it actually proves the opposite. One needs to examine the fruits.

  • One of our Baha'i believe is the investigation of the truth and not on people's assumption on things so if anyone is really interested I strongly suggest that you should go and google it and investigate it, it is not about numbers or anything and we do not force you to convert to a Baha'i. Religion is an intimate thing which is why it's called a faith which is like a covenant between you and God. We believed in Muhammad as well as He is from God as well. So please investigate.

  • Just to clear some stuff up Muhammad was the next manifestation of God after Jesus which is why in the Qu-ran it quoted Jesus and marry, only after Him did Bahá'u'lláh came. As God has promised every 1000 years a manifestation will be send from God and as you know Christianity is 2012 years old which has enough time for one more religion to come b4 the Bahai faith which is Islam and in 1844 the bahai faith was born. Please investigate the truth if you have any questions.

  • The bahai's are taking things out of context and using double talk. They are EXACTLY who Jesus was warning about, namely "false Christ's". Besides, all these "religions" that have been aligning themselves with Christianity for credibility will soon stop in light of all the hostility directed at Christianity in society today.

  • @Grinthor86 My friend. If I told you that Christ led me to believe in Baha'u'llah back in 1979, you would probably scoff and say impossible. But its true! God bless you in your efforts as you "Watch" for me, He came as a Thief in the Night, right on time...

  • 52:10 the "god-head" or the at-man in hinduism relates to the connection of the man body to the god soul. another connection to the adaptation of existing knowledge adopted by christians. Im not for or against any belief system. but seriously this host and the christian guy are obviously biased and being quite ignorant in that regard.

  • I just learned of bahai religion today thru a coworker of mine. and its werid cuz i grew up in a christian family and spent every sunday learning about christ. yet i was also drawn to other religious teachings thru the prophets. Once I was old enough to realize that not only were these other religions preparing you for death. they were more importantly there to help you live an engaging life. which is my main self confliction of feeling like my faith as a child only prepared me for the end.

  • bahai faith is BULLSHIT created by a false liar who claims prophecy.

JESUS PEACE BE UPON HIM IS A TRUE PROPHET AND HE IS THE MESSIAH , bahaullah is satanic false prophet.

    I THANK ALLAH FOR ISLAM.

  • @TheMehdieval isnt muhhamad the islamic prophet?

  • @daislor8675 Yes, Muhammad is the Prophet, or Apostle, of Islam. Islam means "submission to the will of God (Allah in Arabic)". By this He states that all of the Prophets of the Bible, and others, were by definition: Muslim, that is, of those who submit to the will of God. Baha'is accept the Prophethood of Muhammad, along with Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and others. This process is called "progressive revelation" by which, over time, humanity is taught according to our capacity to learn.

  • @TheMehdieval go investigate the Baha'i faith thoroughly using the internet. We believed in Muhammad as well as He is from God as well as Bahá'u'lláh was. We do not force anyone to become a baha'i

  • @KarateCopEX Jesus is certainly not the fulfillment of Jews. Does it make it a Satanic cult?

    watch?v=wd_FZVVHDP8

  • @tigersforchrist you sound desperate and afraid

  • @KarateCopEX "Verily, the Father hath come..." Baha'u'llah

  • mhh the christian guy was kind of ignorant

  • @9BYN Of what?

  • The Baha'is seem a lot nicer than the other guy.

  • This is a very slick video... looks like some very recent footage. I love how everyone is wearing retro.

  • Abraham was called the Friend of God, Moses His Lawgiver, Jesus was called the Son of God, Muhammad the Apostle of God, the Bab is the Gate of God, and Baha'u'llah is the Glory of God. Each of these Titles indicates a special relationship to God which His Prophets and Messengers have in Their direct relationship to God. They, in turn, are the Manifestations of God to Whom we must turn, as "No man hath seen God and lived".

  • Acts 4:10-12

10Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

  • then this means bahai dont have faith in quran.....Quran clealry says that God has no son at all and neither God has been born of any one...He is Unique. How can a bahai who accepst quran as true revelation and then claim another revelation accept that Jesus was a son of God...NoN SENSE.!

  • @MrAligauhar we don't accept that Jesus is the son of God, God is not a physical being, God did not have sex with a woman to have a son, the fact that Jesus was of a virgin birth does not make him the son of God, the virgin birth is what it is, a virgin birth, how can Jesus literally be the son of God if he was born of a virgin? Is Adam of a higher station than Jesus because he had neither father nor mother?

We believe Jesus was imbued with the holy spirit.

  • then please take this video off the screen in which a bahai afith owner clearly admitts to audience that Jesus was Son of God or He ever said that God is my father. If Jesus has said that, then Either Jesus is wrong or God is wrong in Quran....OR .... Bible that they have is self fabricated to suit this and Jesus actually never said that. Double standards by Bahais are not acceptable at all.

  • @MrAligauhar when they say Son of God, they do not mean it in a physical sense, I'm sure you would have understood that by watching the video, Bahai's take these things to have spiritual meaning, 'Son of God' is just a title to try comprehend the spiritual station of Jesus. Please do not accuse us when we have done nothing wrong.

  • "The Purpose of the one true God, exalted be His glory, in revealing Himself unto men is to lay bare those gems that lie hidden within the mine of their true and inmost selves. … These principles and laws, these firmly-established and mighty systems, have proceeded from one Source, and are the rays of one Light. That they differ one from another is to be attributed to the varying requirements of the ages in which they were promulgated." - Baha'u'llah (Gleanings Pg 346)

  • The Baha'is in this video seem a lot nicer than the speakers that claim they are "Christian".

  • They didn't mention about The Bab, he died for us, maybe he is the one in the cloud that was pierced or maybe it's talking about Christ spiritually, Baha'is believe Bahaullah is the spiritual return of Christ. Don't let this guy interpret the bible for you when you can do it yourself.

  • Thumbs up if you think John Ankerberg needs to bring back the retro music intro to his show!

  • I am still amazed at how much he seems to not grasp the understanding of how something can be the same yet different. Jesus bore witness to this to be possible and true. Jesus told the disciples that John was the return of Elijah that was prophecy.

  • The lady on the panel summed up the crux of this discussion at the 35 minute mark. What Mr. Martin is failing to recognize is what he is so passionately defending is his own personal interpretation of the text/scripture & not some absolute infallible truth; just as the the JEWS did in Christ time. Christ was not in error when He came, but rather it was man's flawed understanding coupled with his attachment to his expectations & version of the Truth. Could Water potentially be doing the same?

  • @ReyLoo - What Mr. Martin is failing to recognize is what he is so passionately defending is his own personal interpretation of the text/scripture & not some absolute infallible truth; just as the the JEWS did in Christ time

    reply

well who ever you are you are very much wrong and mistaken in your deliberate attempt at discredit Walter Martin this man is straight down the line with his Biblical exegeses these bahai's are just reciting speeches like the Jehovah's witness do

  • Hmm, what is a really interesting fact: is that the two Bahais take the whole discussion very calmly while Dr Martin is often really flaring up. Like the beaten dog barks.

  • I know several Bahai's who are wonderful people and I believe there is a spot in Heaven for them, but Dr. Martin completely destroys these two on the matters of the Bible and Christendom. At one point the Bahai's claim to the dates were brought to further inspection, Dr. Martin gives evidence that they did not know which completely takes their knowledge of what they were talking about away. I love my Bahai bretheren, but even they cannot counter the arguements put forth by Dr. Martin.

  • @lonewolfrune That is not true. Understand that people "believe" for various reasons which are personal to them. My reasons for belief in Baha'u'llah are different than those of a Muslim, Hindu, or Native American. The format of interrogation presented is not in the spirit of "come, let us reason together". Rather, the attitude is very similar to the Pharisees and Saducees prior to the crucifixian of Christ. Their conclusion is foregone. The proofs are the Words of Baha'u'llah

  • @lonewolfrune Next to the Words themselves, are prophecies, as recorded in Some Answered Questions, by Abdul Baha. Hundreds are compiled in Thief in the Night, by William Sears. What is required is an objective, unemotional search, independent, etc. Then place yourself in the position of an Iranian Judge who sentences ten women to hang after torture and imprisonment. It is this kind of impartiality which is required to best understand matters of Faith. Thank you

  • Yet do We see your kings and rulers lavishing their treasures more freely on means for the destruction of the human race than on that which would conduce to the happiness of mankind.... These strifes and this bloodshed and discord must cease, and all men be as one kindred and one family.... Let not a man glory in this, that he loves his country; let him rather glory in this, that he loves his kind.... (Baha'u'llah, The Proclamation of Baha'u'llah, p. viii)

  • That all nations should become one in faith and all men as brothers; that the bonds of affection and unity between the sons of men should be strengthened; that diversity of religion should cease, and differences of race be annulled -- what harm is there in this?... Yet so it shall be; these fruitless strifes, these ruinous wars shall pass away, and the 'Most Great Peace' shall come... (Baha'u'llah, The Proclamation of Baha'u'llah, p. viii)

  • 4. O SON OF MAN!

I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life. (Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

  • Had Ahmad declared his prophethood in Deccan, an independent State in British India, he would have lost his head. He was within the jurisdiction of the British, who not only protected, but his propaganda loose, giving him a chance to flourish. Muslims could not do anything to him. Both appear to be Cults, not allowing their followers to mix with Muslim/Christians let they know the truth. Both portray Muslim/Christians Clerics as Evil. Both reassure their followers to the chosen ones.

  • Bab was a Syed, direct descendent of the prophet's family. As such, he was more acceptable to Shias whose 12th Imam was in occultation. Nouri was a Mirza, not a Syed: not acceptable to the Shia. Ahmad, in India, was also a Mirza not acceptable to Muslim as the awaited one. Nouri assumed the title of Bahaullah. Ahmad declared himself subordinate prophet. Islam does not allow any prophet within. Nouri started a new religion. Ahmad started a religion within a religion.

  • Bab, a Muslim Heretic, was shot. Nouri, his student, ran with it. Ottomans kept him in prison. He died. Bahaullah, supported by the Brits took over. This was to split the shia. Ahmad,a Brit stooge did the same to Sunn. Both have the same way to obfuscate. I have spent almost a year studying both. Their followers are kept in the dark. Both boast millions of followers in 192 countries: FALSE. Bahai: 5m, Ahmadi 3m. Both are cults supported by Israel to keep Muslims/Christians irked. Both are PIA.

  • Who is this fellow who pretends to speak for Christians? I believe in Christ. Does that allow me to speak for Christians? Why are there thousands of sects of so many people "speaking" for Christians.

  • I spent a summer with the Moonies in Berkeley in 1974. They do something called "heavenly deception", and utilize nearly every brainwashing technique in the book, including sleep deprivation, food shortage, attention from the opposite sex, etc, etc. Independent investigation of truth, however, is a Tenant of the Baha'i Faith, for nobody can think and reason for another person, which is why there is no clergy in the Baha'i Faith, and literal interpretations make no sense...

  • I have seen that somewhere on youtube, thats a good one too -- especially since the son of moon is quite literally a crack head (he is supposed to be morally perfect).

Martin got him good, when he asked his opponent to interpret "put your fingers through my hands", ect. :-)

  • @SicilDragon Absolutely, that is the # point of this topic that sticks out (btw I don't mean literally sticking and out of the screen).

The Bible end times prophesies is littered with "BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS" so eh yeah I don't think the Bible had that in there just because it's "better to be safe than sorry." There are a LOT of people listening to false messengers (prophets) and people claiming to be the messiah (Jesus).

Anyways I am sorry I am not of Bahai, it'd be interesting if I was :P

  • Thank you limey bob! keep these videos coming! It is impossible to get this stuff anymore --- Dr. Walter Martin is the most theologically diverse and Biblically accurate people to ever walk this earth (rip).

  • @SicilDragon Thank you. I have tried many times to load the Moonies vs Walter Martin debate, but it simply will not load to youtube. sorry.
