Your bike is awesome. I see some modifications to the frame hoping the frame is strong enough to take impacts from road bumps at high speed. Unfortunately we are so far behind in Western Australia that it is frustrating me Government has placed a 200 watt limit on all electric bikes before needing a license. You can ride a racing bike and get up to 60 kilometre per hour yet they put a 30 kilometre Governor on electric bikes. Well done on your work.
From what I can see I’m pretty sure you are using “Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 10S 45~90C Lipo Pack” and it looks like you have about 10. Do you have them all wired in series so you have an average of 370 volts? I tried using the ebikes.ca simulator and it looks like you need them all in series to get that speed, Although that is not vary accurate because you are not using a hub motor.
You got guts to ride a bicycle that fast. Cool though. Even though the other riders had bad take offs, your bike is still quick. I have a gas powered on that only does 30 so people shouldn't taalk smack.
Sorry, don't buy it. Those riders suck at taking off. I know all about the near instant torque of electric motors but that is not a large motor and no pic of motor model.
A gsxr1000 has a 0-60 under 3 seconds. With the crappy riders in your video, I would say it would be closer to 5. No wonder you can beat them. Their crappy reaction time allows you a head start. Why did the Blade have brakes on before the run was done?
Results would be different under accurate tests with good riders.
Your a Legend Luke! I just love the insane acceleration of that thing, having ridden a blade i can guess at the take off now but not the handling! balls of steel my friend.
can't beat electric for torch or true power. Look at trains and super huge engines they are always electric. Dammit now just get better battery's about 2 steps better from the jump from lead acid to lithium and gas is no more.
@starknight97 the lithium will be cheaper as it only costs $1.50/lb to mine, but due to low volumes and energy intensive production, the price is temporarily high, although dropping each year
@TeacherPhilEnglish treue but the tech just not their yet 1 step makes it even with gas millage of cars 2 steps makes it better. Plus once gas is burned it gone chemically changed forever. With batteries you just refile them then recycle them after they are used 2000+ cycles down the road. though i know the price well and it high now i need a 40amp hour battery for my bike and they are 650 china and 1500 u.s.
@TeacherPhilEnglish oh yeah a wood gasifier that fit on bike lol. to convert say a generator or even a semi truck too a car will work for a woodgas system but not a small compact electric bike. then this be good for a shtf idea but not so much in our world do too the high maintenance of a gas fuel system vs a liquid system.
Electric drive is the way to go and hope manufacturers see this clip. Ideally my dream machine would be a Manhattan M3 enclosed scooter converted to electric drive - I don't like the cold. (Street racing here involves very heavy penalties, testing would be best on a raceway.)
Freakin A Luke.... I can't believe I ran across this Vid. Been a long time. Salmonslayer.

No gears direct power acceleration, power to weight ratio, electric bike will win every time. Why buy a noisy gas dirt bike?

@starknight97 then just use woodgas for your car, as long as you can find the wood

@starknight97 I made a bicycle size gasifier but it runs out of wood in 5 minutes and glows red hot while burning.
TeacherPhilEnglish 2 months ago
@TeacherPhilEnglish amazing and very ineffectual and unsafe. even my lead acid batteries do better then that what the top speed for though 5 mins?
starknight97 2 months ago
@starknight97 when the gasifier was glowing red hot and started to make crackling sounds I decided to not assemble it to the bike.
TeacherPhilEnglish 2 months ago
@TeacherPhilEnglish lol that wood had too be ready too start burning itself.
