What is the difference between the Plextortion(AC/DC tone) and the Super Plextortion other than the 7 knobs on the first pedal with a gain knob and the 3 position gain toggle switch on the newer smaller one?
Hi, I see your comment pointing out these pedals are designed for fender amps, whats your experience of how they sound with non master volume marshalls like the plexis and metal panels, how do they sound with say a jcm800, can yo do some marshall clips please.
:) I saw on TGP that someone said that too. Nope - not a clone of anything. All IC opamp based actually (which would discredit the bd-2 theory right off) - I am not a big fan of clones. It isn't a tubescreamer either, though it is feedback clippers.
Would love to see an Analog Echo demo vid, as well as a lengthier Hot Wired demo detailing the two channels and highlighting the versatility of the pedal...I've got both now! :) What pedals is the Hot Wired based on btw? I heard the one side is essentially a modded BD-2 and the other side a modded Tubescreamer...Thanks Brian...Your pedals ROCK
Cool, so the Plextortion is more the growly brown sound than the pinnacle it sounds like. Hmmm, are there any artist/song references you could give me that have that Superlead sound? I think I read somewhere the Plextortion is akin to the Unchained VH tone.
Love it! From what I've heard, your pedals are far more of an amp-like tone than the MIA pedals like the Crunch Box. What's the difference between this, the Ecstasy Drive, and the Pinnacle 2? Basically I'm looking for the most versatile amp-like pedal you've got. Thanks
The ecstasy is more like a light gain to medium gain, the pinnacle is more like a medium to higher gain and more voiced like an old superlead marshall.
Hey Brian. A satisfied "Ecstasy Drive" player here. But I really dig the vintage crunch dialed in with that Plextortion. Your stuff is all A+++. I love the versatility too. Your OD/Distortion pedals serve up everything from a clean boost, to a tiny bit of grit, to more aggressive gain. To anybody who is shopping around: order up. You won't be disappointed. This gear just makes you want to jam! Hey, there's a great marketing/branding idea. Thanks for all your great demo vids.
You know, I consider getting the Crunch Box often because it's cheaper, but every time I listen to the Plextortion's sound samples I begin to lean more towards your product.
gosh I don't know what to get now. This or the Pinnacle2. My sound I'm going for is major sustain nice fat and round (haha sounded nasty) chug. Oh and Harmonics like crazy! Maybe some crunchiness too. I have a Ibanez S EXQM with a PAF Joe Neck PUP and an EVO2 Bridge PUP. Any help? I'm going to order one of these pretty soon. Just waiting for paypal to receive the funds from my bank. I hate the wait. Oh well. Input pls. Much appreciated.
*drools at tone* I would very likely purchase this pedal , but I have decided on getting a Marshall Micro Stack. But you never know...i might just change my mind
so this is an early version of the standard plextortion? is it the same build as the current standard plextortion?

Is this an MI Audio Crunch Box killer? I think so! Do you stock any pedals with proguitarshop? A video review by them would be awesome.
