  • Why not use plastic instead of glass?

  • TIP : A computer screen is not made for horizontal use. Put the screen downwards and there is nothing wrong but but the screen upwards and you will see your pixels will burn down after a while, (Never lie down a LCD of plasma screen! :)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Amazing...thank you

  • bravo ! I was wondering how I can get an autocue without spending much.thanks

  • Ich hätte Angst um meinen Laptop. Ehrlich. Aber das ist wirklich eine Simple Idee.

  • TINA HOBLEY RASTAFARIAN

  • LOL, so much effoert

  • OR u could just use the PC as a teleprompter

  • your eyes arent preciesly fixed on the lens if u do that so the people who look at ur video wont feel the same, they will be able to tell u are just reading from a pc

  • try it and look at what u see

  • Really cool, Michel!! Thanks a lot!!!

  • When my girlfriend asked me what I want as a gift for my birthday I said a piece of glass or a photo frame with glass. She bought the photo frame, I had a wooden box in the basement where I mounted the glass in a 45 degree angle. Downloaded some free software on my laptop and now I have fun with my teleprompter. Thanks for the tip made.

B.t.w. I'm sorry for the two lost souls who feel the need to browse Youtube and dislike good video's like this just to make themselves feel better.

  • To get the glass in the 45 degree angle i used pieces of wood from different thickness .

u put it under de clamb until the 45 dergrees is reached

  • Nice, but how do you position and attach the clamps so that it is tight and also flexible to move exactly 45 degrees? In other words, how do you attach the clamps to the camera or tripod?

  • @anthonyfranciscosr Hi you can hang the clamb on the srew on the tripod which is there to fasten the handle (the up and downwards movement screw) you can also take out the screw for up and downwards movement and replace it with a longer screw, so u have to points of attachment

I hope this is clear, if not just ask

  • First, very impressive. Question: How do you attach the clamp to the tripod?

  • Awesome! Thanks!

  • Why would ya, it only prevents light to pass trough, and a pieces of glass is much cheaper

  • is there a way to do it with a mirror??

  • NO COMMENT.E

  • Great work!

  • You built KipKay's didn't you, his sucked.

  • Better then the original :) !!

  • very nice a portable prompter !!!!

  • Dude this is so cool, I've had a good look around at everyone else on youtube and how they made there teleprompters, yours is by far the best - awesome job! Oh, it's also in my budget range lol

  • Quite inventive. Bless you for sharing that. It's quite ... elegant! And you've got about the only teleprompter video I've seen that mentions the importance of blocking light from shining against the back of the glass. Touche!

  • KipKay mentions the backlighting in his teleprompter video. Black cloth to cover camera and glass, needs strengthening to avoid sags in the black cloth. Great idea!!

  • Nicely done man, I'll try it out!
