  • Instead, hear the songs "Leaning on the everlasting Arms", "Blessed Assurance", "Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus", "How Great Thou Art", "What a friend we have in Jesus" by Alan Jackson. Mr Jackson knows where's he going. He's got the (blessed) assurance.

    God bless Brad.

  • But Brad is a freemason! Where is he going? Freemasons are forbidden to pray in the name of Jesus, and to talk about Jesus in the lodge. The Bible, instead, says: "Neither is there salvation in any other: For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we may be saved"(Acts 4:12). Freemasonry, instead, seeks the goals set in the Georgia milestones, among others. A New World Order. Maybe Brad ain't aware of this. I know many freemasons. Nice people usually, but lacking some info.

  • Thank God for His grace so that we know we can put it all behind us and feel at home in the next life. Thanks to Brad for expressing that in song.

  • @MsRosene Sorry for your loss...

  • I lost my Daddy last year and I think of him every time I hear this song. I do shed tears, however selfish they may be, because I miss him down here. I know he is happier up there. I love and miss you, Daddy.

  • Great song, love it..

  • When he played this at cincinnati the background video (which is amazing) had this 9/11 tribute during the last chorus that was so moving and the crowds reaction was so amazing. I cannot put into words the feeling that you get from that part of his live show. Absolutely amazing. It has been months since that show and I still think about it

  • This was one of my papas favorite songs. He died in 2007 and this is the first time I heard this song since then... Thanx you for posting<3

  • This song was at my pawpaws funeral. Five years later I still look forward to the day I can walk with him again. Until then I can only hope he is proud of the young lady I've become.

  • @thefrozenspring I can relate to you 100%! This song was played at my mawmaw's funeral in 2008, although I also think of all the other loved ones I've lost! I am also looking forward to the day that I can walk with them in Heaven! I'm sure our pawpaws are proud of the women we've become! :)

  • Thank you Brad for making Rivers Rutherford's song about him looking down at his grandfathers grave over in Memphis and the marker has his name on it as he was named after his grandfather. The song only took a very few minutes to form but Rivers refined his idea to what you made into one of the best songs ever. Thanks Again, for doing such a great job on my friends song. Bobby Hatfield

  • This is probably the most beautiful song about one´s own death. Was convinced that Brad had written it himself ´cause he does it like it never belonged to nobody else.

  • Does anybody know where I can download this version? The acoustic version isn't on itunes. Thanks!

  • the filming style is identical to John Mayers acoustic section for his Live in LA dvd/cd.. looks like JM took some notes from paisley = )

  • Just another american made song. Godbless everyone.

  • Why the hell some people just can't enjoy the damn song.

  • @getrdunjeff I dont damn know either. Ughhh!!!

  • Anyone else notice the auto-tune on his voice and some failiure points in it through-out the song?

  • @tricountytow OK, I don't know much about auto-tune, but I know a bit about singing.

He hit a couple of flat notes, but since they were the more difficult notes (i.e. at the end of the phrase when singer has less breath, in bottom of singer's range, syllable with "a" vowel which often sounds flat), I think it's more likely that there was no auto-tune at all.

But let me know what you heard that points to auto-tune. I don't know much about it and am curious.

  • @licoreen ya I heard something at 0:38

  • @tricountytow If there's autotune, there are no mistakes. A few mistakes are clear, so no autotune....

  • 1 person did'nt get where they were going.

  • The opening of this song reminds me of my Daughter...

she often talks about doing things that sound outlandish,

like riding on a drop of rain or hugging a lion in heaven.

(So does the Hendrix song "Little Wing")

Maybe we shouldn't wait to die to experience amazing things, eh?

  • Amen.

  • where is this at?

  • an awesome song of true faith

  • Whispering Bill wrote another Gud Un!
