David brought stage presence as the lead singer. Paul was about straight soul. All,members said paul was against anything that was crossover, but paul cld take a standard and keep its flavor and still add soul. Thats what a voice does.

On some songs, he was very animated and intense; on others, he was almost comatose. The differences likely reflect his moods and personality swings. And, unfortunately, his drug use. Leon didn't give us that range of emotions in his portrayal, but I am not angry about that. He gave us Ruffin at his best.

We allow stars just because of their gifts in music, sports etc., to get away with behaving badly (I know David wasn't the only temp behaving badly).
