you can find the latest version if u just search on google...i'me sure you can find a decent one ... but christmass is gone , i dont know what u need it for just now :) ... anyways ... just tipe "snowing desktop free download latest version" crap on google, and you'l find a bunch of links u can download it from ...

Try choosing (another?) texture for your snow, or making sure you have png support (or whatever file format your snow texture is)

I tried installing the packages, but it can't find them. what repository do I have to add? or do you have, by chance, a page where I can download the .debs manually?
