If people are tough with him... that's because he doesn't seam really old and already has a DW kit with axis pedals, many expensive cymbals, a complete recording equipment, several cams...  which costs... a lot.

He's young, he can obviously play drums everyday at home, with very expensive stuffs his parents obviously bought (at least indirectly)...

So yes, congrats because he plays really well, but it's hard not to be envious as he clearly has luck that everybody doesn't have.
