  • I am definitely certain that Budd Dwyer was innocent and was only thinking in the best interest of his family when he was driven to end his life. The movie is very well made and tasteful. What strikes me most about the suicide footage is that he is seemingly calm and, for lack of a better word, "routine" about it.

  • I was only 2 when this happened, never learned about it in history classes in school or college. I only found out by looking up the meaning of Filter's song "Hey Man Nice Shot." Why had I never even heard the name R. Budd Dwyer in 18.5 years of schooling? He was one of the most important men in American history. Will watch this film ASAP.

Also, anyone know where to find the footage of his final speech, not just his final act? I'd like to hear his words rather than just read a transcript...

  • @boudiccastorm The footage of him speaking has never been fully released. This has always baffled me. Sure, you can show the footage of him killing himself and air it around the world but at no point in time may you hear what he had to say. But anyone familiar with the media in the US shouldn't be too surprised. That said, we were able to obtain a short portion of his speech (about 4:30 minutes of it) which we've included on the DVD as an extra feature.

  • @EightyFourFilms Shut up with the US-bashing. Go live in Iran for a couple of days, you'll come back and kiss the ground here, instead of whining about the media in this country.

  • @solpapisolmook It's hardly "US-bashing". All I ask is that we hold this country's politicians to a standard of honesty that all Americans deserve. We need better and it's our right to demand it. The media should accept some responsibility for their complacency as well. Lastly, if nothing changes I won't have to go to Iran because Iran's mantra of total control, corruption and censorship will have come home.

  • Great job! Bravo! I wish there were more people like Mr. Dwyer in this world. The Justice system is a joke along with the government, and education. The whole system needs revamping. I see the intentions of Mr. Dwyer. He thought that because he was good that doing this would make a difference or bring upon change. So my question is how do you survive in this world if you are good? What do you do? Because this is a current problem that I have.

  • @alphaomegaMF You said it best, revamp the whole system. I believe the heart of the problem (corruption) is money and a serious overhaul of campaign finance reform (donations to public officials) would be a great start. Additionally we should support AND vote for candidates who have a proven record of backing up their words with tangible action. They're harder to find but they're out there (usually independents or third party). Open you're mind. It's not red vs. blue, it's right vs. wrong.

  • where can u buy it. i looked on amazon and surprisingly they didnt have it.

  • @Fenny3076 It's on amazon, try searching "Honest Man". It's available on DVD and VOD download. If you live overseas (or if you like extras thrown in) you can grab it directly from us at DwyerMovie dott com

  • Very well made! Looking foward to watching this.

  • 25 years ago today.

  • i love the music in this

  • I bought this movie and just watched it...and it made me more convinced that this man was innocent. I have always felt that Dwyer was set up, that the entire mess was part of a scheme hatched by a vindictive governor that did not like the fact that Dwyer would not fund all of his trips and expenses when they were in fact not allowable expenses. Poor man was sold out for favors and perks. What a pity!

  • Assuming that he had a good family who loved him they would have rather had him than his pension money. He would have what ?, spent a year or two in a federal prison with other white collar "criminals" playing tennis and shit and maybe could have appealed his case.

  • @EightyFourFilms To describe film as "good" just doesn't seem right. It's like me saying Schindler's List was good, which they both are, but not in an after movie "happy fun" way. It was very sad and sobering, almost painful to watch. I often judge movies by the impression they leave. If I find myself thinking the next day, week or even year, then I know how deeply that message touched me. I doubt I ever forget this particular movie. This forgotton story needed to be told, and you told it well

  • @helipilot27 Schindler's list was a propaganda film. Don't compare it to this masterpiece.

  • @billiegymbob I don't think I was comparing the two, mearly drawing a parallel. I thought this was one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. I will never forget it, and furthermore, this DVD will not rest on my shelf for long, it's going to get passed to all of my friends, and a recommended buy to everyone I have a conversation with if the subject arises.

  • I have seen the video of Budd's final moments, very sad.I beleive in my heart this man was made a scapegoat and railroaded.I think he did this in public to show the injustice that was done to him and could happen to others. If he was guilty I think he would have just taken his life in private.RIP Budd.

  • Budd Dwyer fucken win

  • I'm going to order this tonight. I have long felt that this poor man was inncoent, and driven to this tragedy by the machine that is cut throat politics.

  • @helipilot27 Thanks for your support. I hope you enjoy the film!

  • Suicide was only condoned in Japanese and certain Native American tribe cultures. I lost my Dad to suicide. My brother's attitude was, "he lived like a bitch and died like a bitch. Fuck him." I'm more compassionate. Mentally, he gave up. Just like Dwyer. And eventhough I am a believer in Jesus Christ, I am not going to say he is going to hell for that. It's not my place to render judgment no matter what I've heard or been made to believe. This is just terribly sad and eerie to me.

  • what a dick,,,,,,,he could of made lets mak a deal,,,,him and mertha died befor going to prision,,,,,,,,,pa is full of these assholls,,,,,,still cant get the stain ot of the marble at the capital building,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @giacamo1 You have an interesting, articulate and well-rounded opinion. Please tell us more.

  • @giacamo1 You are a heart and soulless all american idiot! Congrats!

  • @giacamo1 you are the epitome of dumbfuck, nice job

  • that happened the year i was born. poor man had no way out and damned if he was gonna go to prison. i respect him

  • If you're into documentaries, this is one that you definitely can't miss... very well done.

  • People say suicide will take you to the devil. i want to say that i do not believe so much in the the concepts of god(s) that is told around, but do hope there is an after life as we leave. This man is the most admiring, brave, honest, and most dedicated man. He believed in the system and that it can work to improve life, but the system was used against him I believe it. I wouldnt know the truth, whether he done it or not. But i honor him to give a message that is to inspire everybody to improve

  • Suicide, like any killing, can be an act of courage. Or evil. In this case, I think it was an act of courage; by dying while still in office, Dwyer's family received his full pension. It was the only way lef to protect his family from ruin. I fail to see how any suicide is an "easy way out."

  • His story was a sad one indeed, but I can't help think its kinda crappy to traumatize a room full of people in that way, he should have done it in private.

  • Budd sounds like Leslie Nielsen, but none the less, poor guy.

  • does anyone know why this guy shot himself

  • Does this movie cover the evidence for or against Budd? I haven't really read any compelling evidence in either direction. It seems like there were simply witnesses claiming Budd took a bribe with no evidence of such a thing.

  • @rancidsexbeast If you are going to look up stuff like that, then you should be able t handle it. It really wasnt THAT bad, i've seen worse. I also believe Mr. Dwyer was an innocent man, and the person that framed him was the cause of his suicide, I hope whoever did it cant sleep at night.

  • Legalize it

  • Even though I'm a democrat and generally am hard on republican politicians I do believe budd was innocent and thats not because his suicide is sad its because the evidence to me is weak. I also see him as a politician who was honest. if he was guilty, a sentence of 55 years for a non-violent crime of bribery and conspiracy (which is despicable) is too large. Our justice system is so retarded. For example someone who commits multiple murder and gets a life sentence can get like 10 - how the fuck

  • very interesting doc, great work...

  • hahahah there was virtually no evidence at all. Budd Dwyer got fucked by this shitty countries jusitice system. The only reason Budd Dwyer killed himself while he was still in office and live was because if he died in office his family would receive pension which was much needed to pay off debts for his defence and to make a point that his suicide is because the justice system failed him and hopefully people will understand him and overtime the "justice" system would truly be just.

  • @AvtomatPruneJuice Tell me about it. Apparently saying someone committed a crime is evidence in the minds of some judges.

  • Looks like an interesting doco and 'that' footage is still jarring to this day, but gotta say this comes off as appearing a little less than impartial.

  • @wehavesomeplanes One sided? Don't believe everything you read. Watch it, then decide.

  • I don't know much about Mr. Dwyer, but he seemed quite honest and the professional and responsible way he conducted himself during his final moments is very impressive, knowing what he was about to do. He handed out envelops to those he cared for and showed thoughtfulness for the safety of those present. I can't approve of his action, but he was very dignified in his final moments and I respect his decision and his thoughtfulness. I hope some good came of this!! R.I.P, Mr. Dwyer.

  • I feel so bad for Budd.....:( I really do. Even though I wasn't alive during that time to know him more or of the accusations, but that guy was tormented with abysmal thoughts. R.I.P Budd Dwyer.

  • is there anyway to view this documentary stream ??? hotfile?? megaupload??

  • @bobbygummywormz Or, you know, you could support independent film and a charity by buying the DVD for a measly $20...just a thought :)

  • WOW!!! Always been interested in this story..... I can't wait to see this

by the way what did the R stand for?

  • @Dovemagician The R stands for Robert!

  • He was guilty.

  • @AMagicalUsername . do you know anything about what really happened? because it appears that you know nothing about the case or the people involved.

  • thats just another sad fact of america there is no justice system because all it cares about is money and convictions ruining lives it pays for the system the best thing about the net is it lets you know how weak and evil people are to enjoy this it doesnt pay to be honest in this world specially in the u.s i wish it was the good old days kill badmen no one cares kill a Goodman the cops turn there head to vigilante justice

  • thats just another sad fact of america there is no justice system because all it cares about is money and convictions ruining lives it pays for the system the best thing about the net is it lets you know how weak and evil people are to enjoy this it doesnt pay to be honest in this world specialy in the u.s i wish it was the good old days kill badmen no one cares kill a goodman the cops turn there head to vigilante justice

  • He got screwed by Smith.

  • looks great. I'm gonna petition my local indie film house to show it.

  • God have mercy on him please.

  • I finally got to see this documentary. What an amazing eye opener it was. Budd seemed like such a kind and caring man. Even if he was not completely innocent it is a tragedy that things worked out in the way they did.

  • It's good to see that someone put something together about who this guy was and what happened with his life that brought him to such an end. Nobody should be remembered just for the way they died, but he certainly left a mark with that. I will have to watch this film for sure.

  • The man was a crook and did the honorable thing.

  • he was a good football coach...

  • Who is the gentleman at 0:45?

  • @TheAngryIntellectual That would be Vince Yakowicz, head legal adviser for the Treasury dept while Budd was in office. He was one of my favorite interviews and he adds so much to the film. Sadly he passed away in mid-2010.

  • Is the song used available for purchase and/or download?

  • @Nicsho Not at this time. Sorry! Really glad you like it though!

  • I hate it that this guy became an internet joke

  • @oiramldx Me too. That's one of the reasons I made this film!

  • @oiramldx People were making jokes the day after it happened. I thought it was funny at first but it is more sad when you consider he might not have been guilty - my first impression, with what little info I had, was that he just didn't want to go to jail. It was a more dignified suicide than, say, the kid who lost his iPod.

  • every time i see any of this footage i end up in tears. budd was an honest caring man that believed he could help people by entering the political world.its a shame this had to happen. i atttended grade school with dee dee at east end elementary and have fond memories of budd visiting the school and talking to us about everyday things. .the day he died i was crushed. ten months later my father committed suicide. later on my aunt lorraine yuhasz wrote a book about budd's story. see u at allghny

  • suicide is a permenant solution to a temporary problem

  • @jbrower1976 Yes it is but in Budd's case the problem wasn't temporary..Read the background of it..There was a cause he did it

  • The greatest An Hero to ever live... primarily because his death was actually regrettable.

  • It's kinda dumb when people say that commiting suicide is cowardly. Going against humankind's most powerful instinct of survival and choosing to die is pretty brave no matter if it is for the right or wrong reasons or done the right or wrong way. I think suicide is always the wrong way but would never call someone a coward for doing it, just wrong for doing it.

  • @mcmcerson Wow. You nailed it. Thanks for bringing a level of intelligence and sensitivity to the youtube comments, it's rare to see people use their brains around here :)

  • @mcmcerson I would partially disagree. For some, yes, it takes a kind of indescribable effort to override the instinct to live. But once your will has been completely broken, it's the other way around. Suicide is no longer death for you. It's a door out of hell. Coward? No. But as someone who's had his hand on the doorknob, I'm telling you, in his mind he wasn't choosing to die. Life was a monster, and he had to kill it before it ate him. It's not courage, but an instinct all it's own.

  • @mcmcerson,

I agree with you 100 percent.

  • @mcmcerson its called be cowardly because they're refusing to fight "the battle" which is life. and cant deal with what ever obsticles have come their way.

if anything, you could say its a bit brave, to end the only life that they will most likely ever get to know, VERY STUPID either way.

  • @mcmcerson I agree, death is scary, how is it cowardly to face the unknown?

  • @tatorsal

It's cowardly to not face life and leave the people who care about you reeling (possibly for the rest of THEIR lives).

  • I totally agree with you, taking your own life is not a cowardly thing, just ask yourself if you have the balls to do the same thing, sorta like the terrorists on 911, people calling them cowards thats not cowardly to fly a plane into a building not matter how wrong it was..

  • @mcmcerson It's cowardly when you do it after killing others to save yourself from punishment, like the Columbine shooters.

  • @mcmcerson WRONG....he was and is still a coward. Couldn't face what he did so he took the easy way out. A real honest man would have told the truth and served his time.

  • @littlevilleKS Yeah, because suicide is a black and white issue, with no shades of gray or additional complexities. Bullshit! You're wrong. It's NOT that simple.

  • @littlevilleKS he was an innocent man. the documentary has interview footage to prove it.

  • Man, he DIED....how can that be the easy way out considering we only got one life to live?

  • @NKA23 Wasn't he sentenced to 55 years of prison? Look at his age. He would have died in prison. That must suck... He took the shortcut. He went down with a blast, sending a message that must be heard, like a real man should.

  • @littlevilleKS serving time in jail is a harsh one kid. if u been to jail only ONCE u wil know, i cdan't imagine serving for the rest of my life that i firmly believe i didn't deserve. whether he deserve it or not, but the human mind is complicated, u can do something, but ur mind might trick you into beliveing u dont' do it.

  • Does it not also take COURAGE to take ones own life?

  • Guilty or not, no one deserves a sentence of that magnitude for that crime. Or the humiliation.

  • The DVD is now available to order. Head to DwyerMovie (dot) com to check it out!

  • Do you have a plan to make it available from Netflix or Blockbuster?

  • @RubberDuckyToy We do! In late January we'll be offering a digital download of the film, netflix streaming, youtube movie rental and amazon on demand. The dvd is available for purchase now.

  • @EightyFourFilms Hi, I just checked Netflix and I don't see it. Did I miss it somewhere?

  • @FHfan731 Nope. We're still working with our distributor. It's been talking a bit long then we thought. Hang in there! Check out website for future updates or to grab the dvd (with extras).

  • His story reminds me of Kafka's trial or process or whatever you call it. Sure he knew what he was accused from unlike Joseph K., but the feeling that you can't do anything to defend yourself must be a nightmare.

  • Dang I wish I was home right now in PA to see this

  • When will this be out on DVD? When and how can I buy it????????????

  • @mcelsner The DVD will be out on December 7th. It will be available on DwyerMovie (dot) com

  • Anyone know when this will come to Los Angeles?

  • @bwc3821 Looks like sometime in January. We'll post any updates on DwyerMovie (dot) com

  • Rip budd

  • I knew budd personally, and I know he was innocent.gov. thornburg was miffed at him because budd would not sign a travel voucher for the gov. Wife to travel to Europe at taxpayers expense. His words were " I'm going to get that fat fuck." budd was framed.

  • bud was innocent. He was set up by then gov. Dick thornburg for not paying for a travel voucher allowing the gov. To travel to Europe on taxpayers money. Rip budd you were a good man.

  • what is the song in the background

  • whether he was innocent or not, he made the most cowardly choice possible.

  • @JMorr1029 he took the cowards way out

  • @JMorr1029 you're a moron

  • the system is set up to corrupt men. i wish someday we would have a president who would try to introduce a law which would make trying to lobby a congressmen a felony. as ralph nader stated he would do if he were president. if the president got on tv and explained this to the people and told them he would read the names of the congressmen on tv who voted against it regardless of party affiliation.

  • So was the general consensus he was guilty or not guilty?

  • When does this movie come out?

  • @mattclose555 World Premier is October 9th in Carmel, California. Additional west coast screenings will go down in November and east coast shows will happen in December/January. DVD should be out in late November!

  • @EightyFourFilms

any subscription list to get a notice of the dvd release since its likely not gonna be shown in winnipeg???

  • @plasmar1 You can follow our tumblr blog on DwyerMovie (dot) com or our facebook group (link on the website). The dvd should be out in late November, early December.

  • @EightyFourFilms will the film be available to buy and download digitally? if not then is there a european/PAL version planned?

  • @amjwUK The digital release of the film is planned for January 2011. That includes youtube rental, netflix and digital download. Can't wait to show you the film! Check DwyerMovie (dot) com for more info.

  • @EightyFourFilms Hey, any news on putting the movie on Netflix Instant Stream/rental?

  • The film looks very interesting. I personally had always wondered about this man and his public suicide. If I hadn't already known about Dwyer, I probably wouldnt have watched the whole trailer. Even when we see the gun it comes off as unimportant to the narrative. I think in this day people should be drawn in to the story of how this man ended his life. Sadly this trailer does not come any where near the goal. Look at it from a 18-23 yr old PoV. They are the ones who need to know.

  • @InvisibleEdits I have to disagree with you. You will notice that the title of the film is "Honest Man: The LIFE of R.Budd Dwyer", not the "DEATH of R.Budd Dwyer".This film was made for the people (of any age) who have seen the suicide video but wanted to know more about the events BEFORE Dwyer's death. I didn't want to make a film that dwells on his suicide for 80 mins. That's boring. If I wanted to reach shallow, blood hungry 18 year olds I would have re-made "Faces of Death".

  • @EightyFourFilms That would be a dishonor to this mans story and defeat the purpose entirely as you already know. The hook for this is the genuine question we ask ourselves about him. The thing that would make someone without any knowledge of this care, is the same as ours. "What could possibly drive a good man to publicly murder himself?" The question isnt really asked. From this, I just see a bunch of people who dont know much more than we do, a guy even they wont say is innocent.

  • Very sad story.......based on accusations ...and a Justice system with their heads up there ass..,,,While ruining peoples lives ...R.I.P BUD

  • How can I find out more about this story (other than seeing the movie, with I will)? All I've found on the internet are very basic details of what took place. I curious to see more facts of the case. I see many people saying he was innocent. I'm not proclaiming his guilt but I'm a bit skeptical since, in the end, he was convicted. I'd like to see exactly what his side to the story was.

  • I really hope there's a Blu-Ray release for this.

  • Will this come out in the East Coast in a lot of theaters? Also, will the suicide footage be shown, or will it be cut out. I have seen the footage, with all the blood pouring out and everything.

  • @soadpwnsyou: I've spoken to the director personally about this. He said that the suicide is included. However, all uneccesary gore is omitted. I imagine he means where he is slumped against the wall and the camera zooms in is not included in the film.

  • I remember the day this happened.

There was a bad snowstorm that day and I had gone around the corner grocery to pick up some essentials. I had heard on the radio while in the store that he chose to take his own life.

  • i would really like to see this documentary, but I'm also scared to know for sure if he was innocent or not. right now I just have a strong intuition that he was innocent, despairing, and outraged. i assume this documentary will go into the evidence though

  • @lautour You're very close! Hopefully you'll leave the movie with enough information to make up your mind for good :)

  • i dont think he did anything that anyone in congress doesnt do so in his mind he probably believed that he was innocent and didnt see the wrong in it. the eddie murhy moive "a distinquihed gentleman" even though a comedy portrays the system well.

  • when is the release?

  • @bgshort99 Looks like our west coast screenings will be going down with a month or so. More info soon. Keep checking DwyerMovie.

  • Awesome trailer/teaser! I cant wait for its release! I hate hate that so many people think Budd was man that was guilty and took the easy way out. He did this becuase he wanted to expose the system he had worked to build his whole life that turned on him. Also, he was a man that loved his family above all else, and did this so his family would be put in the poor house by legal expenses and what not (died in office). I thank you for this, so others can learn the truth about an honest man. :)

  • @NC403Firefighter Thanks for writing. I think a lot of people feel like you do! I hope the film will shed some light on his family life and political career, giving people a more accurate picture of who he was. Release dates coming soon. Spread the word :)

  • @EightyFourFilms: I'm only 19, I saw the suicide video when I was in High School. After seeing I had to look into the case. One of the names on the indictment was a political enemy of Dwyers, and after a closed-door meeting with the US Gen Attorney (who was a major enemy of Dwyer's), his name was suddenly removed. SOOO many people do not realize how corrupt politics were in Harrisburg in the 80's. He was framed, I do not care what anyone says.

  • @EightyFourFilms i hope this film gets to new zealand!

  • @NC403Firefighter i agree with you!

  • He committed suicide so he could die in office ensuring his widow received his pension. He would of lost it if he lived to be convicted.

  • where can we see the full length for free? id like to watch it

  • @AmericanBNPfriends google it, the suicide video is all over the internet.

  • when will this movie be released

    cant find it anywhere

  • i think he is a dumbass because like gandhi, ninoy aquino, mandela,MLK jr. they also imprisoned to the charges that are not true ,they did not commit suicide instead they want to live because they want to change the system that makes them imprisoned

  • Interesting point. I guess the major difference is that Dwyer worked within "the system" from the start. His whole life had been spent working to preserve the American way of life. So when the system turned against him it turned his entire life upside down. The sense of betrayal he felt shook him to his core and, as he claimed, he hoped that killing himself would draw attention to the justice systems flaws. I'm hoping this film will be a testament to his convictions, not his actions.

  • the crook died too easy...

  • When is this coming out!!!! AAHHHHH

  • @CosmicDestroyer99

It's coming, I promise! We're speaking with distributors and festivals right now so we should have a released day very very soon. You can count on a full festival/DVD release by the end of the year. For more updates go to the DwyerMovie website.

Thanks for your patience! I can't wait to get this film out there.

  • @EightyFourFilms Good good..I'll be getting it for sure

  • believed in the system?! lmfao

  • This looks to be a very fascinating documentary. Its the first time ive ever seen anything else of him on film other than the infamous video.Hope to see it soon as its released.Good luck with it.

  • I have always been fascinated with this tragedy....obsessed, even....but the story of this man's life and the background to the events that led up to that fateful day in January 1987 have always been vague and lacking in detail. I cannot wait for this documentary to see it's release.

  • @bagzie Thanks! I can't wait to show it to you!!!

  • "Heck, all the reporters who covered the trial thought he was guilty; and I thought he was guilty...."

The reporters all thought he was guilty? What more proof does anyone need that he really was innocent?

  • @citizenfitz nice one

  • This guy was innocent. not only that, but people had mentioned how he was very friendly.

Also, I have never seen any other videos of Dwyer that weren't from the press confrence. This is interesting.

  • @tomservo3

Me too. Initially one of the most shocking aspects of production was seeing photos and video of Budd in his element. At work or with his family you really got the sense that this was someone who loved life, it makes the press conference all the more tragic.

We're still in the process of securing a festival premiere. Can't wait to show you the film!

  • I can't wait to see it. how did you find other videos of Budd anyway? and all those rare photos?

You are the only one on the internet that has photos and videos of Budd that weren't from the suicide.

Also, I read Budd's last journal entry on your site. and I'm not gonna lie to you, I cried reading it.

This man could not have been guilty.

  • @EightyFourFilms innocent or not, he was a coward and took the cowards way out, he doesnt deserve to be made an hero

  • @nefets99 While I don't believe Dwyer was a coward, I can understand where you're coming from. The last thing I want the film to do is promote or encourage suicide. After listening to Dwyer's family I hope people will finally understand the devastation his death caused. if anything his death should be a very strong deterent for suicide.

That said, I hope that when you see the film you'll realize that Dwyer has a lot more to be revered for than his suicide.

  • I don't think a good many people saw the complete footage. It garners the interest where they might be none, that's likely the sad thing about it

  • I'm pretty sure someone has the uncensored shooting footage, I've never seen it, but I did follow an online sources that led me to look into this among other odd cases, Suicide on TV kind of inspired by The Howling (fictional) and Network (the 70s film), there was another odd case in the 70s with a female anchor. I believe he shot himself more for the insurance policy for his family, but again, he didn't act wisely, suicide is a selfish act they claim

  • It is on youtube.

  • @MetallicBill The footage is all over the internet and some of it is several minutes long after the shooting. The woman you are referring to is Christine Chubbock but no one really had VCR's in those days and the tape from the network was destroyed by her family.

  • R.I.P Budd.

Everyone should learn about the positive aspects of this mans life and show some respect.

  • Kids were for sure watching! Don't you remember snow days as a kid glued to the television watching political press conferences?

  • @noshowdidomenico If you were say, off because of a snow day and watching cartoons but then the local news did a break in and aired the press conference without warning then, yes, you would be watching a press conference

  • It was the programs who aired the footage without any warnings that were at fault, though. He had no control over that.

  • This documentary looks wonderful. I certainly hope it goes to DVD.

  • There is no tragedy at all to this man. He was a coward who went on live television and commited suicide for his wife and children to see. I can't see how anyone can feel sorry for this guy. He was an asshole.

  • I think that there just is no defense for how he handled it, but that's still harsh

  • Hey man, nice shot

  • I agree, I also agree he was 101% setup, I read an article about the event that lead to his suicide and he rejected a plea bargain, Judging by that, I'd say he had nothing to hide.

  • Nobody has no right to talk any trash about this poor man. It doesn't matter if he took some money or not. Somebody set him up, and got away being much more guilty than him - that's the way it looks like.
