  • you really need to ride her in more balance and collected rhythm. she seems a bit flat and I think she needs a bit more work on the flat to build up muscle before you jump any bigger. I am not saying stop jumping. Our 5 year old is doing extensions, collections, basic leg yeilding and working in a constant outline and we are just entering her in her first proper competition this year in eventing at intro (90cm-1m). your horse wont need to work at this level! because ours will aim to do GB teams

  • 1st of all... These videos were taken about a year before i made the video, i was a terrible rider and she was only 5. She started training when she was 4. I trained her all by myself and we have achieved many 1st places. i myself think that is prety darn good. she only gets ridden (not even) once a week, that is why no muscle. I have jumped MUCH higher with her than what you see in the video. as for flat work, i do 30 mins of flatwork before i ride i only ride for and hour. thx 4 the tips.

  • I wasnt meaning to be criticising. Our 5 year old was backed when she was 4 as well so that doesnt make any difference, and I have trained her all on my own as well. If your horse is only being ridden once a week, it shouldn't be being jumped at all or be doing any lateral work because it could pull a muscle or tendon. Even if your horse has one a hundred competitions that still doesnt prove anything, they could be small local events.

  • She has never ever pulled a muscle or tendon not even at shows. I have a trainer (my mom) and she has been training horses since she was my age, she is now 36 and i'm prety sure she knows what i can be doing with her? She doesn't stand in a stable all day like a barbie doll. she lives out so gets to run around and be like a real horse. she is still active and gets to stretch her legs 24/7. my uncle is a vet and he sees no problem in us riding her over jumps once a week.

  • First of all, your mom has great taste in music. One of my favorite songs. Secondly I love your little mare. Shes adorable. You seem to have a really good riding position. The only thing I can see wrong is to get your heel down, and sit back and try not to jump ahead. I don't know if you wanted a critique but that just a little advice. But you are a really good rider. :D && Good luck with her, she looks awesome for a five-year old.

  • Thanks for the tips hey :) i dont mind them :P as long as some on doesn't go on about her being too young to be ridden :) i only backed her when she was 4 :) Thanks for the good luck :) i'm gonna need it :P she has a first place from her second show :)

  • this videos awesome...i love horses!!!w0ow wat a beauty

  • I'm glad you like it :) It is a vid of my 5yo mare and me jumping and riding :)

  • Nice! I love PM Dawn.

  • Thanks for your comment! He is my moms fave too! I made this for her :)

  • Thanks! She is Magics full sister :) Caspers kids :)She is still a little dumb when it comes to jumping, she is only 5 and still doesn't really understand it :) My friend Jamie jumped 90cm with her, She did clear the jump twice, she crashed into it the first 2 times, no harm was done:)

  • Ohhh wow she's beautiful ^^ and she too looks like a great jumper! =3 you're SO lucky I wish I could have a horse!
