I really like your video and song. Thanks for posting. With Remembrance day coming, please check out my video 'Soldier Boy' (search Stu Aspinall). I wrote the song after being inspired by the story of a young soldier who suffered from PTSD before finally giving in to the disorder. I am donating proceeds from every download of my song to support programs that help soldiers and their families try and deal with PTSD. Thank you to all the soldiers who give so much for all of us!!
My Great Uncle and his fellow crew mates of 77 Squadron ( six Canadians and one Scott) were shot down in their Halifax Bomber, while returning from a Bombing Raid, over DusselDorf Germany. All seven were KIA. Them and so many others like them, paid the Ultimate sacrifice, so we could be free. A Sacrifice that should always be Remembered. The true meaning of the word " Hero". I have a tribute video on my channel, for my Great Uncle and his fellow crew mates, called " the Last flight of....."
I would like to thank Canada, America, Russia for helping us in the war, because in reality if it wasn't for you, we (Uk) would have lost the war and i wouldn't be able to write this message.
lest we forget the men and women who went over not only on Nov 11th but every day for these men and women died for the red and white. copy this and keep it going. LEST WE FORGET
Nicely and respectfully presented. Thank you for this. If only we could get the country to teach history that matters, rather than the liberal soft socialist agenda. Our children and grand children deserve to look at their parents and parents' parents as heros and men and women of strong ethics and moral courage who would and do the right thing at all costs.
to all the men and women who stand and serve our country each and everyday i want to thank you and to all let you know no matter what your job may be your making a difference in this world so i salute you god bless you and god bless canada LEST WE FORGET
thats the amazing part about us. if there was a major war beetween canada and the united states(just an example, no offence intended) thousands would enlist. i would, but im 13. but if we could do it during world war one, two and the korean war, then we could do it agian now.
lest we forget about our fallen soldiers. aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters.they died for our country and use never forget.may the fallen rest in peace with god. may the troops be safe on rememberance day.
take a moment of silence tomorrow to remember the fallen.
i am a canadian that wants to join in the fight for freedom and i well not stop tell is done or my life is takin R.I.P to my fallin brothers of the U.N
way better than what my school did, didn't even mention the soldiers from any of the past wars, only on what war does and the effects it has on our environement. Complete disgrace...but we did have a minute of silence.
A Very Small Gesture: Because I don't live under a fascist dictator, Because Canadians are the luckiest people in the world, Because I can say whatever I want, Because I can vote, Because my son was born in a free country, Because he can do anything he desires, Because he can aspire to greatness, Because long ago, people valued freedom as much as I, Because they fought for freedom regardless of the cost, Because they fought for us, Because they died for us, I will remember them.
@wombatstew1 very well said.. i take my son to the remembrance day ceremonies every year since he was a newborn, he even thanks the veterans now on his own. he even saves his pennies so he can buy his own poppy every year.. we will never forget the sacrifices our forefathers made for us to give us the rights and freedoms that most people take for granted living here in Canada.
@stefansmom Thank you. Our gestures are so very small, compared to what they did for us. It's really the least we can do, yet the sincere thanks of a grateful person brings such smiles to their worn and aged faces. I guess it's good to know it wasn't all in vain.
Freedom is an illusion. Your vote doesn't matter, the elections are fixed. The saddest part is, these people go to fight for what? 99% of them didn't know what they were going to fight for. Some of them wanted to do a good thing, but got caught up in a huge lie and ended up fighting for the worng reason. 911 was Canada's and The United State's ticket into Iraq and Afghanistan. It's the sad truth. --->
I feel bad for all of the soldiers that died because of the media and government portraying false evidence to the masses. Patriotism and Nationalism is not something to be proud of. How can you be proud of a country that goes into other countries and kills inoccent men, women, and children? People that have families, just like us. All because of what? Oil? Anyone that reads my comments, if you have the guts, watch this.
@dgk990 Thank all those soldiers who gave their lives to preserve your right to be an idiot. Everything you have is from the sacrifice of them. Enjoy.
Yea yea whatever you say. Just keep eating chemical pumped fast food and keep believing whatever FOX news tells you is true. You are a sheep right now. The truth hurts, all you gotta do is wake up. It's all up to you. I was once in the same position you are. I didn't want to believe any of it, but there was to much evidence of what was actually going on in this world. Yeah the people going to Iraq and Afghanistan might want to help and do a good thing but they are being led on.
God bless our canadian troops
