I have it on my project pc. I have 1 Gig of ram and an old processor. It runs just as well as Xp SP3 but the look is amazing. I showed it to my dad and he was amazed. We built the pc in '03. Even I was quite amazed.

It's true that Windows 7 is actually Windows version 6.1 for backwards compatibility. And the 2007 only refers to the copyright date, not the date the pre-beta was released... And yes it does look a lot like Vista right now. Keep in mind there are almost two more years of development before its released.
