This is a remarkably affordable, quality printer. This is replacing a Brother MFC 495cw which was NOTHING but problems. Although this unit isn't as flashy as the brother model - it's WORLDS better build quality combined with it's remarkably brainless setup and operation make this better than my previous $129 Brother brand printer. This one is a winner!

@Alexboooom I just got mine a couple of days ago at Walmart for $32! No lie....the woman who checked me out asked how much it was when it rang up at $32!! So far I'm really liking it, easy to use and no problems up to this point. I researched printers and read the reviews at Walmart.com. Great reviews!!

Had a Canon i550 for 6 years print head burned so i just picked this up at Walmart for $36.00 bucks didn't even see it had a scanner too . Thats great my last scanner cost me $140.00 and was not a printer also . Had a problem in my Bios that not all my USB ports were not turned on but easy fix with Delete key at start up it's the best deal i've seen or a scanner/printer .

I also bought this printer and so far i'm not happy with it. 1st with clarity of the printing. Then a paper jam error that I nor the Canon tech. can clear up!! Was told to take it in for repair. I have not used it but twice! WTF!

Build quality is a key aspect on printers, especially all in one printer because there are so many moving parts, you want them to be solid and of good quality and I'v got this printer and yer. I mean it's made in vietnam which is better than china (im just saying) and yer it's very good value for the money. I guees you had to buy a USB cable for it as it they don't come with one.

I bought one today, cheapest all-in-one. PG-510 and CL-511 cartridges came with it. Scanning and printing is ok (fast enough for me). But there was no usb cable included... luckily I still had a cable from my old usb modem.

If anyone is going to buy this printer. I have to warn you that it may make you angry sometimes. I've had 2 of this model and it always runs slowly...

But I still like it. It's cheap, it print well, and I get the ink to refill the cartridge from ebay with very low price.

If you don't print whole lot of professional pictures, get this printer, and refill ink.

Thanks for a well-produced vid. I played this during my Pixma MP250 unbox and found it very handy; everything was consistent. I bought one of these convenient little printers as a back-up for a project. I have used Canon copiers since the 1970s and always chose them for my offices because of the sturdiness and reliability.

@yatabazah yes and no although this printer does not connect to a wireless network for shared printing there is a way around this u can buy a wireless printer server that can hook up a usb printer and you can have wireless printing that way the question is do you want to spend the extra money for it if you are in need of wireless printing then go for it ill put a link for a good print server in the info box

@dciguy02 Well, if you have multiple computers at home on one network, as long as the printer is plugged into one of the computers, you can share the printer over the network. You will need to download the driver for all of the computers in the network though.

i have snow leopard and it was basically plug and play as soon as i plugged in my printer i was able to recognize it ill put up a vid later showing how to see your printer in OSX

mine did come with a cable but if u need just go to amazon and search for just a basic printer cable its pretty generic but i would contact canon or the retail store u purchased it from before you do that and let them know your printer did not come with a cable and sorry for the late delay on response
