omg, the weave chute is rev's fav obstacle, but it wasn't when I started her in it. she was like, what the heck? lol
The way I was taught to train them was to place a toy or target with a treat on it at the end of the chute and have the dog drive the the weaves to get it. It's easier to start on leash and at the end of the poles and then backchain to the beginning. He's doing so well! :D
Thanks! The problem with using a toy is that he gets really excited and goes crazy. If i leave something at the end he realizes that it is easier to just go around it:)But Ill try it. He is better now though but he is easily distracted.
He'll get it after a Little while Aussies are smart when it comes to figuring out what you want them to do.
Just make sure you always keep his speed up when your training its alot easyer that way May be hard for you to keep up at first but you'll get use to it. It helps later on when your trying to get speed with the weaves.
I learned that the hard way. Since Ollie a very Low drive aussie its harder to get speed :P
