I saw about one or two episodes of this cartoon. Most of my memories of Tintin come from reading the books in my school library and the local libraries. I actually owned one book as I recall, The Shooting Star.
The conceit of the comic panels is cute, but the editing on this video is utterly balls. The action isn't synched to the music at all. Is this a fan-edit or something? There's another Tintin intro up that is much better done and that doesn't sound like rinky-tink MIDI music.

this was a warning for me to change the channel. hated the shitty cartoons that would give you a headache like this one or beetlejuice or all real monsters etc
@n1nj4dru That is the greatest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. Your comment has saved lives and rescued kittens from trees. Not only have you contributed to one of my favorite cartoons, but you've also given the human race so much to live for. God bless you sir, and all who thumb you up. ; ;
@tac4indigo I didn't see the movie yet, but I did grew up with these cartoons is the movie really that different? (besides the obvious upgraded animation)
I actually remember seeing this on Nickelodeon and enjoyed a good number of episodes. Shame I can't really remember much of it. =/ I also remember finding that the people who helped make "The Adventures of Tintin" also collaborated with Nickelodeon and Jumbo Pictures in making the later seasons of "Doug", as you can tell by the similar character design and animation styles.
I have small memories of this show when it was on Nickelodeon. I have brief flashes, and I remember quite liking the show, but not much else. I was probably two or three, so even that's impressive to remember. Oh well. I'd probably like to go back to the original series first before I see the movie.
my primary school library constantly sent home 'late return' letters to my home, as i was always borrowing at least 7 Tintin comic books (Asterix and Obelix included) at once and kept putting off their return..
This cartoon introduced me to the world of Tintin when it was on HBO when I was a kid...it was a great cartoon that had a good score, memorable characters, and great animation. I can't wait for Spielberg's version of the classic story, which was first animated in the 1960's in France and was dubbed for american audiences.
@petta99 Peter Parker is a photographer, not a journalist. Now Clark Kent, you may have a case. Granted he was willing to throw himself out a window just to get an interview with a new superhero when he didn't have any powers during 52, but I'd have to give this one to Tintin.
I wonder why they did not use the theme in the film. But apart from that, I felt that it was made with much love and care. I expected a mediocre movie with nice visuals, but far away from the feeling of the comic books. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had erred :)
I remember when I was a kid, my father used to read the Tintin comics for me and making different voices of all the characters. thats when I first became a fan of the Tintin adventures. these series are just pure greatness!
