  • @jacobkosh Wrong. This IS the REA

  • I saw about one or two episodes of this cartoon. Most of my memories of Tintin come from reading the books in my school library and the local libraries. I actually owned one book as I recall, The Shooting Star.

    Good times....

  • 8 people will have their phones hacked coz Tintin is a really good journalist.

  • @darkestdraw wot.

  • SO MUCH ROCK, SO MUCH WIN. I fuckin LOVE Tintin <3

  • at 0:38 a waiter dancing crazy

  • 0:49 they're going out the earth and then back in!! XD

  • @Hunkie124 Yep, they must not have liked the moon that much after all...

  • Yknow, I think I might vaguely remember watching this as a kid.

But then my oldest sister would sit me down for some Beavis and Butt-Head too so I dunno.

  • I think Peter Parker could learn ALOT from Tin Tin about Journalism!

  • The conceit of the comic panels is cute, but the editing on this video is utterly balls. The action isn't synched to the music at all. Is this a fan-edit or something? There's another Tintin intro up that is much better done and that doesn't sound like rinky-tink MIDI music.

  • tin tin is handsome

  • Man this was my shit when I was a kid love this series! Can wait until I get this dvd collection!

  • @shottathekidd i got it for christmas!

  • :')

    my childhood...!

  • the new version is better but thi is good

  • It's said the Thompson and Thompson characters were the inspiration for the 1980s British pop trio the Thompson Twins.

  • I remember the early 1990's when Nickelodeon used to air this show at 7am every weekday! I cannot say nostalgic enough!

  • 2D Tintin > Spillberg Tintin

  • They should have used this for the movie

  • @WhatTheGame YES THEY SHOULD >:(

  • Nostalgia is here again...

  • hahahaha i remember this, good times!!!

  • I just love Tintin. He never gets old, dies, and evertime he gets shot the doctor says "it only grazed a knee/rib/shoulder"

  • @ByByBc in Destination Moon Tintin get's shoot into head and the doctor says it just hardly touched his head

  • @ByByBc And yet he always has the bandages around his head.

  • i used to be an adventurer like tin tin, then i took an arrow in the knee

  • @n1nj4dru That is the greatest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. Your comment has saved lives and rescued kittens from trees. Not only have you contributed to one of my favorite cartoons, but you've also given the human race so much to live for. God bless you sir, and all who thumb you up. ; ;

  • I used to watch this so much when I was a kid...=]

  • New TinTin movie completely raped my memory of TinTin.

  • @tac4indigo I didn't see the movie yet, but I did grew up with these cartoons is the movie really that different? (besides the obvious upgraded animation)

  • @tac4indigo i disagree, i found the movie to be a perfect rendition of a tintin comic or cartoon. And I love tintin cartoons.

  • I actually remember seeing this on Nickelodeon and enjoyed a good number of episodes. Shame I can't really remember much of it. =/ I also remember finding that the people who helped make "The Adventures of Tintin" also collaborated with Nickelodeon and Jumbo Pictures in making the later seasons of "Doug", as you can tell by the similar character design and animation styles.

  • haha, I remember getting all emotional over this theme when I was a kid.

  • I have small memories of this show when it was on Nickelodeon. I have brief flashes, and I remember quite liking the show, but not much else. I was probably two or three, so even that's impressive to remember. Oh well. I'd probably like to go back to the original series first before I see the movie.

  • Ever watch a show where your favourite episode is shown SO rarely? This series had three!

  • i cried from nostalgia ( no joke )

  • my primary school library constantly sent home 'late return' letters to my home, as i was always borrowing at least 7 Tintin comic books (Asterix and Obelix included) at once and kept putting off their return..

  • Ah, the memories:)

  • I used to watch this on Nickelodeon all the time back in the early 90's.

  • @TonyShow82 Me too, I was probably 6 or 7 at the time!

  • This cartoon introduced me to the world of Tintin when it was on HBO when I was a kid...it was a great cartoon that had a good score, memorable characters, and great animation. I can't wait for Spielberg's version of the classic story, which was first animated in the 1960's in France and was dubbed for american audiences.

  • I remember watching this show when I was a kid-haven't for a Long time!

  • Thundering Typhoons Lol

  • Never mind Sherlock Holmes! Tin Tin is the best! Hahahahahahaha!

  • @disneyhistoryfan

    screw nancy drew!!!

    tintin rocks my planet!

  • I remember this so well tin tin is definately up there as one of the best detectives even though he is only a young adult LOL!

  • @disneyhistoryfan He's not a detective, he's a journalist. And i'd say he kicks Peter Parker and Clark Kent at being a journalist.

  • @petta99 Peter Parker is a photographer, not a journalist. Now Clark Kent, you may have a case. Granted he was willing to throw himself out a window just to get an interview with a new superhero when he didn't have any powers during 52, but I'd have to give this one to Tintin.

  • @petta99 One thing tintin can not do is fly. If Zod existed in tintin's unvierse, he would crush him.

  • I remember watching this on tv a few times and LOVING it! Especially the episode they went into space.

  • reminds me of my childhood, and playing super nintendo, legend of zelda. man those were the days!!!

  • This cartoon brought Tintin to life

  • I used to watch this all of the time.

  • They are showing these again starting to day on nickelodeon belgium/netherland

  • So... am I the only one who hated the movie?

  • @st1ka

    Yes. :)

  • @Task1000 A shame, because I felt the movie was an insult the comic book

  • Brings me back to 1992-1993, when these shows where shown on the Icelandic NBS (Tintin in Icelandic was translated as Tinni).

  • I wonder why they did not use the theme in the film. But apart from that, I felt that it was made with much love and care. I expected a mediocre movie with nice visuals, but far away from the feeling of the comic books. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had erred :)

  • I remember he got shot in the back and cried like a little bitch in the Moon Rocket episode. XD

    I love Tin Tin.

  • I love this show alot :) TinTin is the best :) . I can't wait for the movie ! :)

  • Man this show was epic, im glad i grew up in the 90's and soon i'm gonna watch the movie ;D

  • I remember watching this show in english when I was a kid growing up.

  • awsum tin tin and snowy

  • you nostalgia you loose

  • Peu importe les musiques qu'il y a dans le film, ce sera toujours celle ci qui sera dans ma mémoire.

  • I remember this song from a long long time ago.... like an echo kept in my mind god knows why... used to watch this cartoon, very good!

  • i think this was the basis for uncharted

  • I remember when I was a kid, my father used to read the Tintin comics for me and making different voices of all the characters. thats when I first became a fan of the Tintin adventures. these series are just pure greatness!

  • i love the intro!!

well the new cartoons sucks ASS seriously!!

the old cartoons are much better!!! :D

  • @spotifypwn "New cartoons"?

  • @Fantasygold2 the new shit on like cartoon network, nickelodeon and stuff like that..

    sorry for my english!

  • @spotifypwn Ah now I understand :D Yes I agree with you, old cartoons are so much better.

  • @spotifypwn

Damn right! a lot of the new cartoons lack the heart and soul that the old ones had. And this one? Hergé was justa genius, pure and simple.

  • I remember watching this on HBO...if you love this, then you may like Lupin the Third...

  • @hdotcarter Lupin the Third one of my first favorites anime...shame im only watched the movies! =(....dude you´re wrong...the right way to say it is..."If you love tin tin...then you gonna love 2 Lupin The Third"

  • @DevilSoma Yeah, you are right...I should have said Love...lol...

  • awesome!!

  • I hope they keep this theme for the new movie.

  • @LAballin24 They didn't =(

  • @LAballin24 Sadly they didn't. And I was so hoping they would :(

  • @LAballin24 they don't ive seen it!:(

  • @LAballin24 unfortunatly, not.. grrr !

  • @LAballin24 They didn't have the theme, but they did put in Tintin and Snowy running in front of the yellow circle in the same pose as here in the opening credits.

  • @LAballin24

Of all the references, they forgot the theme...

  • @HawaiiKnut

What? You make me cry! :'(

  • @LAballin24 - Sadly it isn't in the film. Just been to see it at my local odeon, its a bit hit and miss really. John Williams did the soundtrack :-)

  • @LAballin24 they didnot

  • @LAballin24 sadly they didn't

  • @LAballin24 But nope, they didn't. They replaced it with the crappy John Williams's theme >:(

  • @LAballin24 Nope they unfortunally didn't...

  • @Rubenn91able

    It sucks :(

  • @LAballin24 stupid spielberg

  • this is sparta

  • My friend said Tintin sucked... I smacked her >w>

  • @sugarkitty121 I salute you!

  • @MrXavier789 Thanks XD She did deserve it

  • @Delightbunnie

but Tintin in all his greaness didn't outlast Doug on TV... Sad :(

  • I use to watch this show on HBO when i was 10 years old and loved it, i became a fan of TinTin and can't wait for the new movie

  • I think TinTin is Doug's older brother.

  • @gtzwill

    Doug's cooler and awesome brother!

  • makes me want to watch the series all over again

  • Oh I remember watching the animated adventures of Tintin on a french tv channel every wednesday when I was a kid, those were the good old days. Hope that they would make the intro this way in the up coming film. It would be great!

  • True man, I'm 17 and I feel the same, it was all about watching Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon as soon as I got back home from school when I was young. Life sucks to the core now. These Responsibilities, Science Projects and shit..!

  • Cheer up mate, i feel much the same too ^^

  • @gameplayer4391 lol tbh it should be aimed for older generations too i mean crime, guns, even sometimes drugs hidden, and even t times it's realistic even though it may seem far fetched

  • @gameplayer4391 What do you mean "for kids"?! I'm 26 years old and I'm enjoying watching this series now more than ever!

  • i guess reading the comics is a lot better than seeing the movies of tintin.

    Kisses from Spain.

  • I hope Spielberg won't scrap everything.

And I'm afraid many ignorant Americans will believe Spielberg created Tintin...
