@mattep1ao Those kick starter worm gears take thousands of kicks with your leg before you may get a small chip in the gear teeth. five or six kicks later, it really fucks up the gear and it is worthless, word of advice: when you go to buy a replacement, buy not one but 2. I have about six of them with my big engine. CHeers, RH DSD
@mattep1ao My dad has a perfect red honda 1972 90cc, I have been trying to get from him. He has not rode it in 10 years and it is in perfect shape. I would love to have it in my collection. RH
my kickstart has been stiff on my honda lead since i bought it when u kick it down u have to return it back it wasnt to hard to do this at 1st but now it is completly stuck down and wont return to the start position without a hamer lol is this due to the oil change and could it be fixed by lubricating with grease as ive read somewhere this may help
@mattep1ao Chances are, you stripped the spline kick starter gear which is common, look at the small gear connected to the kick start in the case and see if you find a gear that looks like a ratt has chewed on. you will need to order a new one and rebuild. This is a very Common problem with cheap ass pott metal gears. RH

I went to kickstart my scooter and the shaft recoiled back and went in the opposite direction.. needless to say, its stuck in the wrong position and I feel the spring is the problem.. how do I get to the problem?
hey, i took the restrictor off my scooter, and now when i ride, in the 15-25mph zone, its make a zzzz noise, then once i speed up, or slow down it stops. do you know what that may be? Also, my scooters electric starter doesn't working, and my turn signals they blink, but the noise, instead of clicking it make a weird noise and the horns weak. the battery says its fully charged, and ik the starter works still.. have any ideas?

@ftgsft iT Sounds like your drive plate is loose off the front variator as shown in the first photo above. Make sure your starter pinion and drive face are securely in the right spot.

i have a problem to with my kickstarter.. but i have a debri senda xrace sm 09, i bought it yesterday and its veery hard to start it with the kickstarter.. i need 5-10mins for it.
I bought a brand new chinnese 50cc scooter(Triton knockoff). I bought a 70cc piston and installed it myself. I never got it to start. I had could put my finger on the sparkplug hole it had suction, finely tinkering with it, fastening n un fast bolts one stud came out and totaled the bike. I bought a another exact same scooter. Im slow learner, this time I bought the whole Martin's kit, 90cc, carb, mufler. Just tried the pistion, it never started, sold evrything as is. these vids may have halped.
Great Video, my spring came undone and like you mentioned it's hard to nearly impossible to get tension back on it and fit the spring back in it's working position! Will keep trying. Wish me luck
What do you think is the problem if you kick the kick-starter down and you have to manually pull it back up--- before kicking it again, unless it started the first time?? The spring?? That's what my kick-start is doing. Seems the colder it is outside, the more it does it. Even when it's warm(temp in summer), it still is kinda slow coming back up!
my typhoon piaggio is having the same problem the bearings could be wore out or it could be a piece that chipped off that hold the kick start shaft because if the kick start wiggles alot when you move it with your hand it's a chipped piece inside the kick start case. it happen to mine before to.
DIOSpeedDemon i took my kick start off and it was filled with oil, the oil went everywhere, is this a bad thing for it to filled with oil?

well i found a solution. a friend told me a tip:
ignition off, kick it 2-3times, then ignition on and e voila it works! ^^
but yeah i think its a problem with the petrol.
