I miss Hicks, Stanhope is a genius in his own right...too many of our real comic geniuses are lost to us..I never compare, or do a "versus" thing, cause I love 'em all.. I still miss Lenny Bruce from back the middle 60's, " I'm 56 BTW, I used to check out his comedy albums "33 & 1/3, when I was only 10 or 11 at the library, and turn the sound down low so my parents couldn't hear..He kinda started the risque stuff, but even he wasn't the pioneer, Stanhope is fearless & funny...

WTF hes not a genius in thought just in delivery. Anyone could do what Doug dose,they are just too lazy to put it on stage. Most people who drink in bars like to put the world to rights,to make sense (and light) of it,hes just put it on stage as his 'graft in the system' hes done well for it and all the power to him. But instead of listening to what he is saying and flapping your flippers,try hearing the message.
