This seems to have taken all the challenge that made the original Oregon Trail so fun and replaced it with arcady crap so the kids can play it with some better simplicity. DAMMIT WE PLAYED THIS WHEN WE WERE KIDS! Can't people settle for some somewhat logic and luck based game that actually makes you kind of use your head

i hope this game comes out onto the 3DS. So far on what i've seen and played when i played this game on my friends DSi it looks great and the gameplay was fun! It brought me back so much fun memories when i use to play it at my old middle school computer lab. You guys do a great job and no matter what the people say you guys are awesome for bringing back 1 of my old favorite games and making it good : )

This game is awesome. It has enough of the old but it's a true upgrade. Ppl who want to live in the past can go back to living without electricity. I still remember playing this game in study hall in jr high, but I like this new twist. Might get me playing it again.

I got this for my ipod touch. It was a good game. Finished it in a few hours but I think Ill start it again and try different routes. Also, Id like my children to all survive in tact! LOL

the old one on Apple II GS is still the best. it was so brutal hard, but it was also very rewarding when you finally floated down the river and made it to the end. this one does look fun though, so for nostalgia sake i might pick it up, but not before Ravensword!!!!!!

the point of oregon trail was to watch your caravan thing go by and hunt a couple of times and scream at your screen when you died or lost stuff cus you drowned in a 3 foot river and sometimes make it to oregon.

Historically most people (except for the old and exceptionally young) would actually walk. The wagon ride was often bumpy and rather bone jarring. More so the wagons were often packed to the brim with supplies.

ahhhh this is just a DIRECT port of the java game Orergon Trail, by gameloft. they didnt even try....they even used the same graphics as the java game....if my OLD phone with 2mb of ram can play this SAME exact game, then why is my IPHONE with 128mb of ram, 30mb available playing the same game with the SAME graphics for a HIGHER price?!?!

Actually the iPhone/iPod touch version is richer than the mobile game. there are much more random events, additional mini-games, and graphics are more polished, only the art direction remains consistent with the mobile game :)
